So Shams is reporting that the Pels are open for business on AD.

And no one is surprised.

Just don't see Boston having the best offer unless Kyrie has already committed. But I've already said how simple that is.

1) promise the max
2) promise Tatum, Rozier and Brown will all be gone
3) we get brow

If he's not locked in for that, you're out.

^ Yep... more or less.

The benefit to Kyrie is straight forward... 1.) play with AD for a title and 2.) gobs of money, the most he can get.

Only a crazy person would say no to that.

...like a flat-earther or something. Of course, it's not a given that the Pels choose the Celtics offer (or Ainge offers enough to make it a done deal).

I agree totally.

And Kyrie is, well, crazy.

this is the type of "reporting" any one of us can do.

No shit they are going to listen to offers. They will listen to offers even if AD said he would stay.

Well the last we heard was that the Pelicans were going to try to keep AD. This pretty much shows that was all bullshit.

First, My comment was not meant as a sleight to your comment (or the idea you told us about Shams report). Hope you didn't read it as such.

Not sure how this means they didn't or wont try and keep AD. I would doubt any team would ever hang up the phone about any player.

No offense taken.

AD was pretty much already out the door. If the Pelicans were serious about trying to keep him, they would leak out how much AD has been open to the idea of playing with Zion or some other feel good crap. Instead they are letting the street know that they are open for business and trying to gin up interest before the season is even over.

Did the Pels say they were open for business or did someone report they were? Guessing the latter.....and that's what I meant. All teams listen to all offers. No big story there.

Well I am assuming that the Pels were the source of this story.

Assuming they are, then history tells us that they are going to deal AD. When teams tell the street they are willing to listen to offers, almost always means they are going to deal a player.

Personlly I would rather keep Tatum. Kyrie is an egotistical diva who can't carry a team.

Didn't Stephen A say that Kyrie to the Knicks was almost a done deal not too long ago?

Probably, just like any stooge they change their pick every two weeks. Cowherd tweeted this...

"All you cats doubting me on my Kyrie to @BrooklynNets knowledge I was dropping today—get your apologies ready. They will be accepted but ONLY if heartfelt & sincere. Seacrest out"

Even though this asshat has been saying Kyrie to NYK as well for the past couple months.

They act like they are genius' bc they get info on a FA and predict their wrong destination for the entire offseason lol

It's all about their personality and getting views, they don't have to even be knowledgeable and predictions wise, it gets pretty pathetic at times.

It's not like they are guessing or analyzing ANYTHING. They get some hearsay and run with it as gospel.
