Harbaugh had to dumb down the playbook for him to succeed. I'm still not convinced he actually knows what he's protesting. What? He has ALL the physical tools to be a great NFL QB. The size, the arm, the speed, whatever. He's got it all there. He's been held back by the fact that he can't go through his progressions and takes off after his first read isn't there. That works in college if you're a freak athlete and you plan in the WAC. Believe me, I watched him torch Idaho year after year back then. Harbaugh made the reads easier and utilized his athleticism. That was the perfect system for Kaep but that whole team just fell apart once the management started butting heads with Harbaugh who is just too big of a dickhead to be an NFL coach. And that's saying a lot.

As far as the money goes, yeah that was the right thing to do. Good on him. But I don't know if him putting up the $ was because he really cares or because he got pressured into doing so. He could be 100% genuine with that, but I just don't know.
