The buyout money won't be the thing that stops this. Ask the other two state colleges in the B1G if they could go back and dump some money to stave off an issue early would they go back and do that?

Maybe not the "social justice agenda" in whole. But definitely is an overhyped case of the public outrage mob building a guilty case without all info on the table or any clear rationale.

I ill not argue the legal aspect here. Urban won't be charged with anything. His problem is with Title IX. Reading over the quotes from the Title IX, the word "knowledge" is used. Does that mean that 2nd hand reports(his wife telling him) is knowledge? How far removed from the source must the coach be in order to have to file a Title IX report? Does he have to report every rumor he hears?

Meyer is gone. If I were him, I'd say good riddance to football and go play with my wife.

It's not anti-OSU with me.

I have a daughter, sisters, a mother, and female friends.

This is about covering up domestic violence/abuse. If one of my loved ones were being abused I wouldn't want their boyfriend/spouse's friends who are in a position of power covering up for it.

This is about doing the right thing regardless of your relationship with the abuser. Not enabling said abuser to continue to instill fear/pain in their victim.

Who knows. I'm sure they are weighing the possible backlash. They could suspend him for a couple games and fire his wife and say that's enough and it might be enough. It's not like he's the one who did the abuse. But these days covering it up gets you close to culpability. He's got some convincing to do and some mea culpas and he could survive this.
