Fire the coach for being a woman beater?!? He represents major universities and the coaches he brings in, not only represents him, but the school as well.
Also — he is the father of at least one daughter (could be more, I’m not sure of his family) before he is a football coach.

Are you that dumb?

Not continue to employ a guy that beats his pregnant wife?? You know, something like that?
Ok, so let's say he fired him. Then what? Very possibly would've sued the university for wrongful termination. There were no charges brought against him or anything back then, and his performance in his job was fine.

No order of protection against him back then, either, so god knows if his ex-wife is even alive today if he got fired without having any charges or police action against him.

He's actually got charges against him now along with a civil protection order.
Wow. This guy is either dumber than a rock, won't take wise counsel or has real big problems.

Or, all of the above.

He's had to know he was under a microscope since at least '09!

Oh he is a steaming pile of shit. It's too bad she didn't choose to file charges back in '15, he would probably already be in jail by now.

Maybe OSU should give Urban a raise for saving the ex-wife’s life. Without him turning a blind eye to domestic abuse for 10+years, she could be dead

Stop acting like you give a shit about the woman, you just want any excuse for Urban to be gone so you guys might have a chance at beating us again.

It didn't have to go to the firing level to get rid of him. Sounds like Meyer kind of took this guy under his wing. Might have been better if he'd have helped him move on down the road to another job...with the stipulation he get some help before he would vouch for him at that job.

If you think the outrage mob is mad now, just wait until Urban Meyer wins the national championship this season

This is a good example of how loyalty generally gets you nowhere

He actually did recommend counseling to him back in 2009 and evidently recently when he fired him.

Holy shit.
Does this fall under title IX? Admin don’t like those words
Just heard a reporter say both Urban and his wife are under Title IX, i.e. both university employees.

Let's be really. How many people actually survive "administrative leave".....not many. Guessing Urban will be no different.

Ohio State has 2 options. They fire Urban over what is basically a he said/she said situation and face potential lawsuit over said firing

OR

Face the outrage mob for years to come.

Guessing theyll bite the bullet on any money involving a potential lawsuit over wrongful firing to avoid the years of outrage mob.

Ahhhh the perils of outrage culture.

I do have a problem with the "HIS WIFE KNEW SO THERE IS NO WAY HE DIDN'T" logic.

So if my wife knows something terrible, i'm automatically guilty by association because as her husband I "must know" as well?
if the marriage is on "good terms" then I believe they would have talked. If it's not, then it's possible she didn't say a word. At least that has been my experience.

Not every marriage is the same.

Some people don't tell their spouses everything when it comes to things other people discuss with them. Doesn't mean it's a bad marriage though.

Maybe. But sometimes the best thing you can do for people you love is kick 'em right in the ass. Some of 'em won't straighten up until they hit rock bottom. Hell, a few won't even change then!

Rest of B1G schools be like, "Please fire Urban so we can have a chance!"

Gotta admit, I thought nothing would come of this. I thought Urban was Teflon in Columbus.

So a Notre Dame fan wants Ohio State to fire their coach because he “covered up” a domestic assault by not making it public, but Brian Kelly is still employed with what he has done at Notre Dame. Amusing.
I'd like to see Brian Kelly fired too. But Notre Dame doesn't listen to me.
