Ohio State has 2 options. They fire Urban over what is basically a he said/she said situation and face potential lawsuit over said firing

OR

Face the outrage mob for years to come.

Guessing theyll bite the bullet on any money involving a potential lawsuit over wrongful firing to avoid the years of outrage mob.

Ahhhh the perils of outrage culture.

tOSU and Meyer might reach a mutually agreeable amount to part ways so neither one of them have to deal with it from now to eternity.

Gotta admit, I thought nothing would come of this. I thought Urban was Teflon in Columbus.

In 2018 nobody is Teflon in anything regarding abuse vs women.....whether guilty or not (just the allegation basically ruins a person wther proven innocent or not), or actually committed the crime themselves or not.

Urban is basically getting hung out to dry for minding his own business in a he said/she said situation.

There's two ways this goes. Either 1. The "investigation" happens and Urban is let go OR 2. The "investigation" happens and his wife takes the fall for everything and is let go by the University and used as a scape goat.

These just seem like the likely scenarios at this point. I can't imagine OSU would react this quick to put him on leave if they didn't see this as serious or know something even worse.

Title IX is a federal law as well that requires any employee of an entity that receives federal funds to report this kind of abuse. So Urban is also required, by law, to do this.

If I'm not mistaken, nearly all public employees (at least state and federal) are required to report it. I know we are in Texas.

In his defense here, lol. It's not like he "lied" in an official investigation, he just said something to a reporter. I guess you could claim hypocrisy but it is a tad different. If Meyer lied to the police or the NCAA (you know, an actual cover up) i'd have no problem with him being fired as that is pretty much par for the course.
