I agree. Most deadline deals are that way, at least at the time. Because sellers get prospects and buyers get immediate help. But the question is who is the biggest winner so far?I actually think they all benefited ...

Hard to picture those teams in the World Series. But 5 years ago it would've been hard to imagine Cubs vs Astros too. So I'm not disagreeing.Tough call, but I am going with the Padres ... they are loading up with talent in 3-5 years it looks like the White Sox and Pardres are going to be meeting in the World Series.

Dodgers and Indians need to win to be winners.
You don't win simply by not losing. Not if Mejia doesn't live up to his potential.

They wouldn't.Then how would the Padres win if Mejia flames out?
They wouldn't.
Just be happy that Lucroy trade never happened.I'd also suggest if this is how it is, then the only way a team ever "wins" a trade is if they win a championship, which seems like a pretty strict litmus test.

Giolito and Fulmer going to learn how to pitch?
Sox ain’t a threat anytime soon right now
I think you may be wrong, but I am hoping you're right ... the White Sox are loaded with young talent, can they turn it into a team?
