Trump telling Comey to stop the investigation of Flynn would be Obstruction of Justice and possibly Abuse of Power. Two no no's for a sitting President.
No one has been charged with this yet. BUt if thats the case, are you willing to let it slide because you "Like his policies"??
And sounds to me like you are willing to sacrifice the FBI in order to save the President. Apparently so are some members of the Senate if todays proceedings are any indication.
Well, let’s look at the original charge against Flynn, or what they were Logan Act. While he was technically not part of the government, he was a part of the president elects team. Nobody has ever been convicted and only one person has ever been indicted. Did Flynn lie? That too is debatable, but he did plead guilty.
Did Trump actually obstruct Justice? There is no credible evidence he did. Comey kept memos? Is Comey not a known liar and political hack? Yes he is. Is it obstruction to ask Comey to drop the investigation because the investigation was about the Logan Act? Again, every president elect team discusses foreign policy before they actually take office. It allows them to hit the ground running.
So both Obstruction and abuse of power are BS.
It depends on the evidence. If I believe Trump is actually guilty, then yes, I want him to fry. I hate corruption.
I am willing to sacrifice the FBI, or the bosses, because it looks to me like they deserve it. They tried to sway the election and for me, that is worse than colluding with foreign countries to win an election. Foreign countries have no allegiance to the US...the FBI took an oath of impartiality. It sure looks like they have failed that oath...at least Comey, Stroyk, and his ho.
