Lincoln Riley: 'No Way' Georgia Is a Top-5 Defense in the Big 12

It's the same ol Facebook stuff. UGA posters lost it, OU posters came to Riley's defense .. the Bama Facebook Horde jumped in on UGA's side and that brought in Team SEC which is usually fans of teams like South Carolina, Arky, Tennessee, etc ... and as usuall Team SEC took some shots at the Big 12 and after that it was on like Donkey Kong.

I'd like to add that in all my years on the net, I've rarely seen an LSU poster take Team SEC's side. LSU fans by nature hate everyone not LSU and when there's nobody else around to hate on they hate on each other. The LSU crowd is like no other.

Little bit of both, really. The best offense in the big 12 with a Heisman QB really didn't do much more than a true frosh Tua would've done in 4 qtrs. Biggest difference is, Bama isn't giving up 54 to anybody.

UGA gave up 531 yards and 48 points in winning, it would point

Well then. The Heisman Trophy winner lighting up a defense is one thing. But letting a freshman QB light up your defense. Unacceptable. I guess Riley is right then. Georgia's defense wasn't as good as statistically advertised.

Correct it works both ways. But the fact remains it's true.

I agree about it being likely true both ways. But that's kinda what makes it a stupid statement. There is such different style of plays in those conferences that it makes the statement kinda obvious. And just comes off petty.

To be fair that OU offense was in discussion as one of the best offenses of the decade.

7 times teams have held Oklahoma to less than 45 points (what was scored at the end of regulation), so it’s not like Georgia’s defense really did something that special against Oklahoma’s offense.

Oklahoma’s defense is what failed them, not the offense.
