You act like NBA coaches never make mistakes.

You can disagree all you want, but answer these questions:

1) With 3 minutes left and up by 10, did they or did they not have compete control of the game?
2) does fouling the opponent immediately create more possessions or fewer possessions?
3) what were the odds of a Houston come back if GS played it out without fouling?

IMO, Houston was less than 10% to come back. If Capella goes 3-4 and KD misses that ISO jumper, it is totally different odds. Especially since the defense had the Rockets bottled up the second half.

I don't really know how that happened other than Curry and the Warriors are great. They are at their best when they play through him. They found a way to get him going in the 3rd and it unlocked everything. Houston played into it by foolishly not driving to the basket (other than Eric Gordon, who kept attacking and kept them within striking distance) but either way, that was nuts.

Because I have watched guys like DeAndre Jordan and Shaq make 5 or 6 in a row in these situations. Yes. It is easier to find rhythm when you shoot the same shot over and over in a short period. Even for a bad shooter.
