There is no value in rigging the lottery. And past results certainly would suggest that they don't rig it.
explain Lonzo Ball then.
Lonzo has some very good size for a PG but his athleticism is pretty sub par- he is just plain not good at getting to the rim and finishing. He does use his size well defensively though. He can defend his position very well. Doncic not so much. He's a big 2 guard that will have trouble on the defensive end IMO. His offense could be brilliant, but you'll need the right guys around him to make up for that defense, and pairing him with Booker seems like a horrible idea defensively, even if a brilliant idea offensively.
Call me crazy, but if I'm LeBron, I think the Suns can pitch one of the most attractive options out there.
A lineup of Booker, Jackson, PG13, LeBron, and Ayton.... that's exactly what I'd be looking for (if he does consider leaving CLE): long, young, athletic guys that can shoot.
Even if he can't PG13 on board, the Suns would still have excess cap room for an additional solid FA or two.
Unless he's going to go to the Warriors, Celtics, or Rockets - which I don't think he would ever do - I don't think you can get better than that. And this team would take a couple years to peak, which could actually be better timing due to the Warriors existing.
Sam Bowie sayz hello.

Expiring contracts in Chandler and Dudjey are movable and so is TJ Warren. That's another 33 million. The Suns aren't even close to having enough cap space. Even if they let Payton and Len walk and cut the non-guaranteed contracts, they only have about $28M in space (before Ayton's contract).

this is a team that if i were the Heat id have on the phone to try and get rid of whiteside......take back chandlers expiring, and maybe a dudley and pray you get a 2nd rounder or a tj warren or something.Expiring contracts in Chandler and Dudjey are movable and so is TJ Warren. LeBron plus another Max is feasible, especially since one or both would likely be sign and trade.
it just sucks the guy is such a disaster offensively-- he cant shoot, he has a very weak pick and roll game since he cant finish at the rim......if he doesnt have the ball in his hands directing traffic and making passes he is worthless out there on offense.Lonzo will be a liability on the court for the Lakers late in close games. He was only 45% from the charity stripe. He better focus on improving that this off season.

And y'all will still get owned by the Nuggets for the foreseeable future...A lame duck front office is still a lame duck front office.
@Arizona_Sting That said, at least the Suns will be a little more interesting in a way that I'll actually want to attend a game down there while visiting my aunt on spring break.
It will also be interesting to see what they do with EP as he hits restricted free agency.
Congrats, even if I hated the Suns tanking to get that worst record. I'm excited about the Kings getting Ayton or Luka(assuming they don't KANGZ it), both have their question marks but are at the top of most draft boards for a reason.
