Well the question about trading the lottery pick is in relation to keeping Lebron.

Would Marvin Bagley put the Cavs team over the top as a title challenger? Probably not. Will Lebron really care if they draft Marvin Bagley? Probably not.
LeBron wont care- but if the Cavs get a top 3 pick and jump up in the lotto that pick becomes absolute solid gold and options that you could never even dream about like Lillard, or Wall or Lenoard all of a sudden are possibilities since - a top 3 pick in this draft is , like i said, solid gold

Still waiting on that player you told me was avaliable at the deadline the Cavs didnt make a move for for the Brooklyn pick.......still waiting.

Kemba Walker was rumored to be available. And Cleveland was rumored to be interested. But a deal didn’t get done.
lol...Kemba Walker?

you think the difference between Kemba Walker and George hill was worth a lotto pick in the most loaded draft in years?

4/20 was last week.

@WiggyRuss....

The Browns aren't really taking Mayfield #1, right?

They should take Barkley first and whomever is left of Allen, Mayfield, Darnold, Rosen at #4.
gosh i really have no clue

nothing would surprise me

I just know if they actually pick the right guys- with the 1st and 4th and 3 2nd rounders they should be able to build a foundation to finally turn the corner--- its a whole new regime- with proven front office guys--- but still- i have to see it before i will believe it with the Browns.

If I am the Browns- i take Darnold 1 and Chubb 4. Pairing Chubb with Garrett, and very solid Emmanuael Ogbah (who was the 1st pick of the 2nd round and played really well)- would be the start of an absolute dominant defensive line.

Hmmmmmmm....

That would have been interesting.

But, they have more depth with the trades that they made.

They couldn't trade both picks.

Maybe they could've still ended up with Hood.

But, they wouldn't have Clarkson, Nance.

Clarkson, Hood are no big loss if you have Kemba.

But, They'd have even bigger issues, sans Nance.

id rather have Hill, Nance Jr., and Clarkson then Kemba ---- when you take into consideration that you would have to give up the Brooklyn pick for Kemba and only the late first for those other 3- its not even a question.

Adam Schefter just said the Browns are seriously considering Mayfield.

I have to think it's at #4, not #1.

I would gladly give up our Lottery pick, as long as it isn't top 3, for Kemba.

But, my Team is in a different place than yours.

Kemba Walker is better than George Hill was at his peak. And I’ve got news for you - George Hill isn’t anywhere near his peak any longer.

The real question is what would the Cavs have had to take on to make the deal work and what else would they have had to give up.

Oh, totally agree with you there.

But.......

At some point, the Cavs have to do what's in the best interest of their team, not just LeBron.

There wasn't anyone available to put them above Houston or the Warriors.

So, not trading was the right decision.

Oh I agree. At some point the team needs to build for the future.

I don’t think they take Barkley. I could see them going QB at # 1 and then trying to trade down to accumulate more picks, if a team is willing to offer a big deal to trade up to 4 to get a QB.

from what I read they were trying to attach Batum or Marvin Williams deal in any deal involving Kemba.

Also-- id much rather get George Hill for nothing, and use the Cavs first rounder on Nance Jr. adn Clarkson---- then trade a lotto pick in a loaded draft for Kemba Walker. lol

George Hill, Nance Jr., and Clarkson for a late first rounder?

or

Kemba- and a terrible contract for a lotto pick in a loaded draft?

seems like common sense to me- but as they say- sometimes common sense isnt that common.

The problem is - if you’re at the point where you say that there is no one you can trade for that can make you competitive with the Warriors or Rockets...then LeBron is gone.

There is a interesting debate happening on Get Up.

Since only 3 people, outside of myself, actually watch the show, I will relay it here....

Assuming health, what roster would you want going forward....

Philly or Boston?

I'm so torn....

The fact that I am not a fan of that Horford contract and that Philly has so much cap space, I'm leaning there.

But,.......Kyrie, Hayward, Brown, Rozier, Tatum gives me extreme pause.

I highly doubt that even the Browns would repeat history again. A lot of times you'll hear a lot of rumors and potential picks at given spots a couple weeks within the draft.

But, he might be gone anyway.

You think Kemba with one year left on his deal would have been enough to keep him?

Nah...

If the Cavs had Kemba Walker instead of George Hill they would almost certainly make the NBA finals and would at least put up a good fight against the Warriors.

If you think the Warriors are simply too good to beat, then you should want the Cavs to let Lebron move on and start the rebuild process.

in this draft i just couldnt do it

personally id rather have Trae Young or Colin Sexton seeing as how they are cost controlled for years to come rather than Kemba----- and that doesnt even take into account guys like either Bagley, Bamba, or J.Jackson that will be there at 4 or 5.

Personally- i think J. Jackson is climbing up draft boards and is going to be the third pick.

Doncic and Ayton- in some order at #1 and #2---- then J. Jackson third....probably Bagley 4th and Bamba 5th.

Porter Jr. is the wild card- as he might be the most talented player in the whole draft but his back issues could scare teams.
