One Direction.......That probably sounds pretty fucking gay that I even know who they are. But girls love them. They are probably the most popular band today. I have spent so much money on their merchandise for my 7 year old.

Yeah, I don't think they are overrated musically but the songs themselves I was never overly impressed with, they had a couple songs I liked and I have actually owned a Who CD but they are talked about in the same conversations with Sabbath, Floyd, Zeppelin and I don't think they belong there.

Also, IMO Townsend is not top 5 guitarist...

They are an acquired taste, as the continually pushed the boundaries and never pigeon-holed themselves to a style. Almost every album is different.

I used to be feel the same way, but in the last 6 years or so, I have regained a profound respect for em'. They were weird af, and that piques my interest.

I have a soft spot for Baba O'Riley since they play it before every UGA game.

But they don't do much for me. For the British acts, I love Eric Clapton, and it took them a while to grow on me, but, I like the Stones more and more every day.

Outlaw Country and Honky Tonk is by far my bread and butter, but I like a lot of rock too. Even like a lot of heavy metal and some punk. I guess I push Country so much because I'm the only one that does. You'd probably like some of it too.

With that said, the high pitched screamers and singers that I can't tell if it's a man or a woman don't do much for me. Zeppelin and AC/DC doesn't do a thing for me.
