It would not surprise me one bit if Romo picks up a couple of major titles in the next 20 years
I predict he'll be good but major titles are not easy to win.

Tony has played in pro-ams with Tiger Woods and Jordan Spieth (Jordan is a COWBOY fan). Tony is long off the tee. He has a really good short game. Romo tried to qualify for the U.S. Open, in the past......His problem in the past, has been like a lot of us, putting.
You drive for show and putt for dough. You have to putt well, to score.
But maybe, now that Romo doesn't play football, he can concentrate on golf to the place, where he can maybe make some cuts. He and his pro partner, may make the cut in the Pebble Beach pro-am.
(In pro-ams, the amateurs use shorter tee boxes than the pros)
But there is a big difference, between being a scratch golfer, and being competitive on any tour.
There are many great young phenoms on the pro tour.
And Romo is 13 years from being on the Senior Tour.

Anyway, Good Luck Tony.

The best thing is when people talk shit about how they play golf, but really suck at it LOL

Huh? If that's a cut on me, I don't claim to be a scratch player.

I think golf is a lot like the sport of soccer...

Every man's daughter ought to play.

Yes, but in this case the age is not even the biggest part of it. He could never compete with these guys. It's like saying if a random division III QB practiced enough he could play for the Cowboys. Just doesn't work that way. Like you said. You need to have the talent as well.
well there was a period of time where this might have been true!:pound:

I didn't play soccer to know whether or not I suck at it, though you may be right. I've played golf many times and have always been competitive when playing with my friends who play it regularly.

I just don't enjoy watching either (except when my daughters play soccer), and, other than the camaraderie, just don't really enjoy playing golf.

My comment was meant as a joke, so, no offense to all who enjoy either sport.

For me the best is the guy that never even mentions he plays but knows he can beat anyone that brings it up

Or the guy who obsesses over a certain QB and not the team.

Good reply....you remain a better person than I when it comes to smart asses.

I play golf on occasion... it's always that one or two shots that go where I intended them to go that brings me back. My goal always is to shoot under 100.

Soccer? Love watching my 7 year old grandson play and I admire the great shape players are in.
Other than that....I have no use for the game

Watching golf is similar to watching paint dry. Romo should have been more dedicated to football than golf early in his career and he could have been a better QB.
