Most talented team maybe. The Showtime Lakers would still be the best IMO. They dominated in the physical 80's style, and if they played today, and you couldn't put your hands on guys like Magic, KAJ, and Worthy, they would score at will. Team was always super deep as well

On a side note, if LBJ wants to be sitting by MJ when he hangs it up, he needs to beat them, not join them
He already beat them. I dont know why people think he needs to beat them again. Good teams beat other good teams. Sometimes individuals can win games for a team, but to do it consistently, that player needs to be special. Lebron is special, but no single player can lead a non stacked team to beat the Dubs. It’s just not happening unless Lebron forms a similarly stacked team. He’d have to join forces with 2-3 other superstars and then have enough cap space to build depth. That’s impossible. It’s just easier to join them, stack his rings and build his resume. I heard his plan is to play with his son when he enters the league. If he’s able to do that, while being a relevant superstar for most of that time frame, I think a case can be made for Lebron being better than jordan. Jordan had an amazing run to 6 rings and a perfect record in the Finals series’, but people act as if he is untouchable. He’s the current goat, but he will be surpassed in our lifetimes.

Most unwatchable sport on the planet? Shiiiiit, try sitting through 3 rounds of a golf tourney w/o falling asleep. It's damn near impossible.

Who goes to a golf tourney and is present for 3 of the 4 rounds? You? I went to the Ryder cup in Minny and 1 day was enough for me. Passed out on the putting green drunk at 10:30am and it was a blast, but I can't do 1+ rounds of a 4 round golf tourney, unless somehow I am playing and even that would wear my ass out.

Here's how the scenario plays out:

1) Lebron decides he wants to go to the Warriors. He opts out of his contract and decides to do a sign and trade deal. 4 years 100M. Decides to take less because it's the culture and he wants to be a part of it.

2) Warriors facilitate the trade with the Cavs, sending Andre Iguodala, Shaun Livingston and 2 1st round picks.

3) The Warriors then immediately trade Lebron to the Pelicans for Anthony Davis.

You forgot a step:. Adam Silver shuts the LeBron trade down before it even happens.

I love playing golf now, but even I can't stand watching it as a spectator. It's brutal. I can occasionally watch for maybe 15 minutes at a time on TV, but that's only because they keep panning to other players next shots.

If DGreen weren't suspended, he would have never beat the Dubs. MJ would have won 8 straight if he hadn't taken a couple of years off. LBJ has already moved around to win a title. He went to Miami to pair with Wade and Bosh, and one of his titles was a result of a colossal choke job by the Mavs. When he went back to the Cavs, he had Irving and Love. He's been the defacto GM everywhere he's gone, and now he's looking to join the Dubs because he knows they will run the Cavs again...if he makes the Finals

I could see Lebron signing elsewhere for less than the max. When has he said he would only sign for the max?

Report: LeBron James won’t take discount from max salary

The link above is just speculation from late last year but probably relatively accurate. I don't have the link, but I recall him saying something similar last offseason.

I agree with you that perhaps James could sign for less - but no way is he going to sign for significantly less. This is not about $$ but rather about ego. He wants to be paid like "the man". Ego may also be another reason why he wouldn't sign with a team like the Warriors since this will be viewed as the easy way out (like w/ Durant only worse).

No way in hell that this ever takes place.

He never said that he wants to join the Warriors. The article & related tweets are pure speculation based on "sources". Even if James were inclined to go this route he would have to likely play for next to nothing or have the Warriors breakup their winning combination - fat chance of either happening. I could also see the NBA trying to figure out a way to stop this if it ever got to that pt (which it won't) since it will ruin any appearance of true competition in the NBA.

Don't hold your breath on this one.

I'll save you guys the trouble. The Warriors don't actually want him. How crazy is that for a team to not want a shot at getting the best player in the NBA? But it's true. No chance Lebron is going to the Warriors.

My theory is someone from Lebron's camp put this story out to motivate the Cavs to use the Brooklyn pick as trade bait to acquire more ready talent. If Lebron is thinking about going to the Warriors, it means he values championships above all else. Cavs then have to go all out to show Lebron that they're in win-now mode and use every asset at their disposal.

He has been sweet tweeting Curry and Durant lately...im thinking the spinless one is trying to butter them up so he can jump ship and get an easy title or 2

No
LeBron must be made to suffer for his sins of lobbying the NBA to get Dray suspended in the Finals. He sold his soul to the devil/Adam Silver, now he must be forced to live without seeing another title for the rest of his life.

I wouldn't go to a golf tourney under any circumstances. Talk about a waste of a good day.

Jeebus you people. Some dope throws out some stupid shit and we spend all day talking about it. Lamelo Ball has a better chance of playing for the Warriors next year as LeBron.

Some tournaments you have to try once. Like majors. But any other tourney I need a tent pass so I can drink and watch it on TV.

Oh and a pisser close by.

It's fun at times and will make you mentally retarded at times. Good things are beer and the cart girl. They can save your life

The cart girl is crucial. Kind of like in a boxing match.. but with no beer. You've just been getting your ass handed to you for 4 holes, can't catch a break, can't make a putt... Then she arrives around the corner. Big titties and a whole cart load of beer. Immediately your golf game gets better

Obviously this is #fakenews clickbait. But even if either side wanted this (they don't) and they made a deal, the NBA would squash it immediately like they did with Chris Paul going to the Lakers.

League would have no grounds to do so, just like when Durant signed with Golden State. If they can open up enough cap room to entice Lebron, he can sign there if he wants. They just need to dump all of their free agents, plus Iggy, Livingston and one of Klay/Draymond.

Lakers will take Klay off their hands to help them along. :suds:
