I would say that Wisconsin has the best chance to win the conference. Not because I think they are the best team but they have the easiest path to the conference championship game. I don’t see anyone with any shot of competing with them in the West. Ohio State has to go to Michigan State and Penn State this year. Michigan could be a factor as well if Patterson is deemed eligible and the offensive line figures out they are allowed to block someone.

That's why I voted for them.

Wasn't this the same story in 2017?

A better question is: Does the Big 10 champ make the playoffs next season?

Yes it was and in 2016 as well. How many times has Ohio State been in the Big Ten Championship game vs Ohio State? Since the college football playoffs started, Wisconsin has been in it 3 times and Ohio State twice.

Ohio St. this season and possibly next. After that it's going to be all Penn St.

Preseason B1G champ prediction will be Ohio State every year as long as Urban is there.

Sparty is always a possibility, but nobody picks them in the preseason.

Three horse race

1. Penn State
2. Wisconsin
3. Ohio State

Penn State plays Wisconsin for the title. Since Penn State lost Saquan Barkley, Wisconsin wins the title.

Wisconsin may have to battle someone with an easy schedule next year in the West. I haven't looked at all the teams, but Wisconsin has 5 road conference games. Iowa, Penn St, Michigan, Northwestern and Purdue. If we slip at all I could see 2-3 losses there. However, 12-0 again in the regular season, baby, is my prediction.
