150 claims vs Nassar, the football, and basketball programs.
It is well more than 200 against Nassar. The 156 that spoke at his trial were not every claim against him and it is very unlikely every one with a valid claim came forward given the nature of his victims.

Those lawsuits will be massive and crippling when the civil suit comes, but I do not know enough about the case to know who ultimately will be sued over it. USGA? USOC? MSU? Twistars? karolyi ranch? There were a lot of organizations that failed these young girls over a very long time period. I doubt it will be just MSU sued and I have no idea how much of a burden they will carry.

The problem here for MSU is more every other rock being turned over. It is often not the original thing that brings the NCAA down on a school, but rather a cover up or other things they find that brings them trouble. In this case there are at least allegations of lack of proper handling of abuse cases stemming from student athletes on campus and this microscope is undoubtedly going to bring excess heat on them for it.

Wow.

Women are typically more sensitive to this than men.

Her entire family (gramps, dad, mom, brother, uncles, cousins, etc) all grew up in Lansing area and went to MSU. MSU is like a family member in their household.

If IZZO and DANTONI really cared about the school and program, they should probably resign.
Even if all the allegations are outright lies, the damage is done already. And it will get worse.

The media, the ncaa, and every other investigative body is out for blood now.
Someone is going to pay besides just the Doctor himself.

They will keep searching everything nonstop. Recruiting will suck. Academic prestige will be hurt.
Rarely do these high profile things simply stop and go away.

Of course they will find other things even if they cannot find assault proof.....every school has some things.
The only way to prevent it would be for D'Antoni and/or Izzo to resign.

They could fall on the sword and protect the school that has been so good to them.

It's pretty damn bad. No one seems to want to admit ANY guilt, even if it's minor. And every time someone looks deeper into any story at MSU, it uncovers some outrageous coverup. I'm still suspicious that Dantonio and Izzo are truly going to be gone, but who knows now. Dantonio is caught in a blatant lie already.

There is no graceful exit strategy for anyone under these circumstances. Dantonio & Izzo will likely have to resign, but it's gonna go much further than them. Nassar's case certainly showed that every level where there were suppose to be protections for victims there were none, and in fact the system in place seemed to primarily protect the accused. It's certainly fair now & justified to ask if that same culture extended elsewhere at MSU.

I admittedly don't really pay much attention to Izzo, but today after the win over Maryland, they interviewed him on the court. He looked like he has aged like a two-term president over the last few days. He may need to retire for his own health.

I think this...coupled with fiascos at Tennessee, Baylor, Penn State, et al...are gonna eventuallyt\
bring about big changes in College Sports.

THE NCAA also plays a major role in all of this. They were informed in 2010 at the outset of
the issues at MSU. They didn't follow-up for 8years?

You can't solve this stuff looking the other way.

If you want to watch something super uncomfortable:

And how does a major head coach forget the reason one of this star players left early after a sexual assault scandal? "I can't remember" is a pretty bad excuse. Especially since they had days to prepare for questions like that. Again, does MSU have any kind of PR counsel?

That school is a black eye on the B1G. Just nuke it and call it a day.

Special Prosecutor to Investigate 'Every Corner' of Michigan State Amid Scandal

From the link:

Schuette's announcement came one day after Outside the Lines' Paula Lavigne and Nicole Noren published an extensive investigation that documented the school's improper response to allegations of sexual assault and violence against women by members of the school's basketball and football teams.

It pretty much happens everywhere.

Not an excuse, not a rationalization, just a straightforward comment that this is happening in every.single.college.campus. in America.

A lot of that expose was bullshit that was dealt with. There are some relevant things but if things are taken to the prosecutor’s office and they chose not to proceed with charges, what should they do? If they suspend the players immediately and kick them off the team when charges are brought up with players who had no prior issues, what did they do wrong?

What is? The Nassar part isn't happening on every college campus
