I understand them not going fully to his request considering they got the other 9 done before it went to judges, but man it sure seems like the Sox management is pretty far off at 7.5 when he will likely get close to 10 But is only asking for 10.5

well you know how they are (ownership) and they are probably still banking on trying to have money for JD.. But I want Betts happy.. With that said Betts needs to step it up this year

Cool story on why I grew up a Red Sox fan... Dwight "Dewey" Evans' sister lived next door to us here in Spokane in a cold-a-sac when I was in 2nd grade... Dwight would come to visit his sister over holidays and always play football with us over Thanksgiving... I have lots of autographs from him on my mitt, baseballs, footballs, shirts... He was a very cool guy - a reason I've always liked the Red Sox... I always looked forward to Thanksgiving... I still have a broken pinky from trying to catch a hard, nerf football thrown by Dewey...

Martinez is a pipe dream unless they unload JBJ. I’m truely not up for that and I highly doubt Martínez would DH.

Betts was damn good last year. If we are fortunate enough to make playoffs, he needs to be better there this year.
