Actually the question wasn't pointless.JT Daniels reclassifying is a big reason Darnold may stay.....But you knew that right? Its kinda a big topic regarding USC :dhd:

And I like the aggressive Pendergast defense.Unless you forgot what SC's defense looked like prior.Pendergast has the defense moving back toward the old school SC defenses :L The D didnt lose the game
Try to stay on topic. What does the depth chart at SC next year have to do with Darnold's horrendous performance tonight? For that matter, what does it have to do with the coaching staff's inept performance tonight?
There is a time to be aggressive on defense but protecting a 14-point 4th quarter lead with 5 minutes to go is not that time.

Usc led nation in sacks. Darnold sort of offset that with turnovers. J.T. Daniels was Gatorade player of year but looking back so was max Browne.

Ok great dayne. :L Continue complaining to complain.I'm just going to be happy SC had a great season and won a PAC championship. And give Ohio State respect for having a great team

Darnold looks like that shitheel kid from Incredibles. He’s worthless.

So you have no idea what SC's depth chart is at QB looks like next year.Or how Darnold would greatly benefit SC and their future at QB :L I would hate to think you are a homer.....Coaching staff is fine
I don't know, that .500 high school staff is only 27-10 in 2 and a half years (21-6 in 2 complete years), with one conference championship and one Rose bowl win. You guys really should be pushing for something new after this one game.

Fire Helton, get some Nike money to hire Chip Kelly after next season.200 uniform combinations and new play signs. That always works

I wouldn’t say just yet I’m on the fire Helton train but given his history you look at he was given the job from a interim basis after a win over cross town rival UCLA. I’m not so sure you can say he has any real big time wins. The ranked opponents he has beaten like Stanford this year Washington last year turned out to be not so good. Washington blown out in playoffs. Stanford a middle of pack team. Helton also wasn’t Lynn swann’s pick. So I don’t think there will be any calls to fire just yet but seat is getting warm probably. Beating the teams you should and not competing against top 10 talent doesn’t keep your job at SC. Ref against you or not

I actually like the coaching staff.I was just mocking Montalbano's complaining.I didnt know great dayne and dropper had a child :L I can't see any legitimate reason to fire Helton. While the offense sputtered I don't think that can be pinned on Darnold or the coaching staff. And like I said I have to give credit to Ohio States defense. They played a great game.To claim SC's defense played a bad game tonight is just asinine mo.Not sure where he came up with that one.Guess its easier for some "fans" to make excuses.rather than just see it for what it was.SC and OSU are two great teams.Ohio State was the better team tonight and earned the win.

I’m with you on some of it but winning everything is fine. Losses are scrutinized. Pete Carroll won the big games and stuck around. Lane kiffin and sark didn’t so much have bad years. Bad losses maybe. On the road early in season at Texas is going to be a turning point I would say. Lose that and finger points at head coach. I’m not so sure I like Clancy’s plan of play the best guys and minimal subs. Is it dline coaching maybe but 5 stars like betiku, Connor Murphy etc can’t get on field and don’t show much when they do. Recruits are hit or miss I get it but seems as if the talented guys either have it when they touch down on campus green, gustin. You aren’t getting max out of your players when your playing majority base 11 guys. Great effort tonight but yeah. They are kind of lacking the playmakers. Ints for tds that kind of stuff has been a rarity for the defense

I thought the USC D played really well given the circumstances...It's slightly demoralizing when your offense coughs up the ball on half their possessions. It is especially bad when you give them a short field.

Kudos for showing some back bone and not letting this one get away from you, this had all the hallmarks of a blowout at half time and you guys stayed in the fight.

My only coaching complaint was that USC did not seem to make many adjustments to deal with Ohio State's defensive line. Whether through play calling or protection.

Yes, the ref seemed to let a lot of shit go...but that's how SEC refs roll. I figure it is just punishment for foisting PAC-12 refs on the rest of the bowl community.

buckeye D-line absolutely embarrassed the trojan o-line. even when they called plays with darnold rolling out, he was immediately being chased from different angles, i honestly believe OSU's proficiency at rushing the passer caught them off guard, they didn't expect to get ragdolled like they did.

can you hook us up with a snapshot of the receiver pushing off before that?

but no no, i get it. had they thrown the flag there, USC totally comes back from a million turnovers and dominates in a win, totally.
