Preseason I thought they could get 30 wins and if everything broke right for them (ie a very bad East), they could conceivably contend for the 8th seed at a low 35 wins (again, very bad East). The East is better than I thought but even still, they can still make that 30 wins. And if Lin and Russell weren't hurt, I legitimately think they could hang in the race for the playoffs. Atkinson is changing the culture. They're playing the right way, he's utilizing talent, and players are buying in

I get what you are saying, but I don't think that matters.

If You could pair Ingram with a player like Giannis than that is ideal. Giannis has a greater impact on the game because of his ability to handle the ball and create for others. I don't care who else is on my roster or how bad my bigs are, I am taking Giannis.

I don't know how fair that is.

They had a specific strategy. They were trying to hit homeruns and land franchise superstars. Yes, they swung and missed a couple times, but they appear to have hit twice. And, the whiffs allowed them to be in position to draft Simmons.

In other words, I would say that their plan was intentional and brilliant. Unlike most rebuilding teams, the 6ers understand that you need multiple great players to contend. Once you get the stars, you can surround them With pieces that fit.

Congrats to the Knicks last night. That gave vs the Lakers was the most entertaining game I watched all year.
