MLB sure as hell has a better product than the NFL. Are you kidding me, Lions?

MLB has always been a better product.

Bill Miller's umpiring skills are light years better than the best NFL official.

MLB can draw them this time of year

Drawing viewers to a Sunday Night game of the week, when it DOES NOT involve their favorite team?

That's where the task gets tough

If you are 12....then this is the best ever WS. If you have can legally drink....maybe not. If you have gray hair...definitely not.

Last week a couple of Dodgers fans on here were talking serious exception to me saying that I wasn't sure his postseason struggles were over. I wasn't even derogatory, I just said that he's had some great games but the jury was still out from my perspective.

They got all sensitive and pulled some "yeah, but Kluber sucked this year" nonsense, as if one thing has to do with the other.

They were online during the game last night, I tagged them and asked about it, but they ducked.

I read this morning that he's given up more homeruns this postseason than any other pitcher in the history of baseball.

I just don't see how someone could not question his postseason makeup. He's arguably the best pitcher of his generation and he's got a 4.50 ERA in 118 playoff innings.

I'm still interested to see what their response is to Kershaw's start, so ... @OutlawImmortal @CatsTopPac, care to share your thoughts?

Where I fucked up was by even having the conversation with you. You want to see Kershaw's postseason ERA and IP and nothing else. I tried to break down how his ERA is so high (a few legit bad starts, combined with his early appearances, and the string of starts where he had been left in too long, and short rest) to give some context. It was a waste of my time because you didn't actually want to have the discussion. Nowhere did I say, or think, that his postseason shit starts were never going to happen again.

And "they" were not online last night. I went to game 4 and so I was driving back and forth from Houston all Fri night and Sat morning, and then back home all day yesterday and last night.

By all means, if you think Kershaw is a shit postseason pitcher then you should have just stated that up front and I would have kept scrolling through the thread. But it seemed at the beginning that you were actually interested in the discussion. Instead, you saw no further than 'I'm a Dodger fan' so there is no way I could be objective unless I immediately jumped on board to shit on Kershaw.

Kershaw had another bad start last night. No excuses for it. But again, I fucked up because I found myself in an argument with someone who saw his overall ERA and wanted to generalize his entire postseason career. Again, if we were having this talk in 2011 about Verlander then (with the exception of not being overworked) you would line up on the side that he is a shit postseason pitcher and that would have been the end of your thoughts on the matter. And trying to discuss it with you would have been as big a waste of time as this is. All of the former players and coaches who say that Kersha'w criticism is way overblown must be clueless in the presence of your great baseball mind, stopping at ERA. Whew, glad we got that cleared up.

I fucked up because I know better to get into an argument with a dumbfuck because you'll bring me down to your level and beat me with experience. Congrats on your success.

They deserved a better fate

First team with 500 yards of offense and no TD's?

Something like that I thought i heard
482 yards of offense and 0 TDs, 3rd most yards with 0 TDs ever.

501: 1986 49ers, Week 11 vs Washington
496: 1994 Bengals, Week 10 vs Seattle

You crack me up.

"If you won't let me ignore all the times that Kershaw sucks balls in the postseason, then you're a dumbfuck!"

With all the data we have, if you're psyched to roll into a postseason with Clayton Kershaw as your ace, you're the dumbfuck. I'd be skeptical, which is all I've said during these exchanges, and it turns out I was right, huh?

Or is it, "but Kershaw was great this year in the postseason besides the times where he got his ass kicked." The world needs fanboys, I guess.

1991 had 5 games that were tied in the 8th or later and 4 walk-off wins. It did have one blowout, which this year doesn't have any so far, but we'll see. I'd say 3 out of the 5 games have been great, 2 of them have been excellent. The other two have been very good.

World Series ratings better than the Football game last night

Thats pretty big news
The Lions suck.

I watched Pistons at Dubs, tWS and Caldwells dumbfuckery at the same time. Nobody outside the rust belt shoulda been watching.

Bad coaches just never learn

Them not kicking the FG to make it 20-15 I think?

You just knew that was gonna come back to haunt them, just knew it

It's worse, it was really funny actually.

4th and goal from the 1, a FG gives them the lead, and they go for it.

4th and goal from the 1, they need a TD+2 point conversion to tie the game, they kick the FG.

He opted not to take a 15-13 lead. Then gave up the 97 yard bomb. Then kicked the field goal to take a 20-15 non-lead.

He's horrible. The only balls he has are retarded.
