By Michigan sucking. It's not like Dantonio had to earn most of those wins. He just beat a bad Michigan team, like everyone else during that stretch. Note -- the best teams he faced (2007, 2012) he lost.

To his credit, he's done well against Harbaugh. But one of those wins required a minor miracle.

But I thought Michigan had the best coach in all the land, surely the best coach in all the land could overcome these obstacles.

My experience has been that all wins are earned, and that you create your own luck.

I do believe that the best coach in the B1G does live in Michigan...just not in Ann Arbor.

Typical loser mentality. You didnt beat us, we just gave you the game...

For real.

Holy shit, does @MAIZEandBLUE09 have his excuse machine turned up to eleven this morning or what?

Losers are always whining about this or that being unfair. Winners go home and fuck the prom queen.

<flips quarter to John Patrick Mason>

And the minor miracle is because Harbaugh fucked up the entire last series. He couldn't have coached it any worse than he actually did.
I have no problem with the way it was coached. Had the punt gone off and the punt returner returned it for a TD, everyone would have been critiquing Harbaugh for being in max protect.

That's not how it works. Even Saban couldn't only do so much with Michigan State. (Saban being the best coach that currently exists in the game of college football).

Was 2011 one of those years that MI just handed the game to MSU?
Oh no, they beat us. And those Michigan teams tried. But they were bad teams coached by a bad coach. Everyone beat us.

Bullshit.

The Spartans out-played the Wolverines in that game. The only reason UoM was winning and the punter had an opportunity to blow the game was because of the out-of-this-world punts he'd pulled off earlier in the game.

Exactly. Imagine what a great coach would have done at MI.

If I recall MI only had 2 losses in 2011 and even a Sugar bowl win. But they lost to MSU.

Had he ran to the edge instead of up the gut every play the clock would have run out and no punt happens.

Shhhhhh no everything is the punters fault. He should have been out there passing the ball and moving down the field. Ignore the fact that they were out gained for the game.

I'm not looking up the stats, but I remember that punter just continually pinning the Spartans inside the 10. I think he even had a 90 yard punt, or some ridiculous shit like that.

See now we are on the same page...all the Michigan teams that lost to Michigan State were bad team coached by a bad coach.

That's easy to say knowing the run up the middle didn't work.

You're right, Saban was only 2-3 versus Michigan...I think that says more about Dantonio than it does about Harbaugh...

It was only an 80 yard punt and it was only the school record for the longest punt in school history. He sucks.

It hadn't been working all day. You rushed for 62 yards. At least going for the edge eats an extra 2-4 seconds per run.
