Even a super douche like Heatley deserves to not be ripped off I guess.
I missed this story that broke this past summer, Kenny.

Is AV on the hot seat?
So far have not heard much but would think so. Their D is a mess and they're weak up the middle, their all or nothing gambles for years are starting to catch up.
Given how bad it’s probably going to get soon in NY maybe he hopes he is? An early firing would make him a pretty attractive candidate for any opening that becomes available during and after the season. Could basically choose his next destination. Is AV on the hot seat?
Lundquist says to Talbot "Melrose said two of us would be Vezina finalists!
All their troubles started when they traded for no good bum Rick Nash.
I would like to think he signs a 4 year deal to return to Columbus this off season.

37 pt average the past two seasons. 1 season with more than 42 pts the past 5 years. Playing on a moribund team with no help from center. And Columbus buys him out after the 2018-19 season. I don't think he's got much left in the tank.
I scrolled through it and one thing I could see in the not-too-distant future is a MacT coaching gig a la Darryl Sutter’s return from the wilderness. Not for NYR or another struggler but say Chicago stumbles and decides they need a fresh voice? Or Chevy finally fires Maurice to save his ass? Wouldn’t shock.did Rags management really replace Stepan? i think their team is pretty trash and like nasty said they have very little in the pipeline thanks to all the trades to try and win now ... this seems like a repeat of canuck history for AV
Dellow had alot of tweets on AV the other day

I think the day NYR fires AV is the same day Jets fire Maurice and hire AV ...AV has working history with some in the Jets management group (Moose/Jets lifer Craig Heisinger)
I considered mentioning AV to the Jets in my first post (and with those connections it makes even more sense) but I just don’t know if I see a high-profile HC taking a job in a place like Winnipeg.I think the day NYR fires AV is the same day Jets fire Maurice and hire AV ...AV has working history with some in the Jets management group (Moose/Jets lifer Craig Heisinger)

But I suppose the prospect of coaching a team with so much talent could be irresistible assuming he’s paid accordingly.

I'd probably aim for a one-day contract kinda thing rather than any deal to actually play hockey.I didn't say it would be a perfectly great idea, just that I think it will happen.
He did a lot for this town, I would like to see him retire in this sweater.
