Anything can happen, but I think the Twins have an uphill climb tonight. I assume Girardi will be quick with the hook should Severino stumble much at all.

Twins' offense has been strong (1st in AL in RS since ASB, and 3rd in September), so they could surprise the Yankees' pitching, but Santana is going to have to be on point and keep the Yanks out of their bullpen.

Santana is capable....He had a very good under the radar season

Starting to wonder how Girardi decides on CF and DH

Headley/Ellsbury/Hicks/Holliday

2 are out

Hell yes he did. I think the only reason it was under the radar is because he was pitching for the Twins.

There's only one AL pitcher with a lower ERA and more IP than Santana. Honestly, I don't think Severino had that much better of a season than Santana did.

I'm 10% excited and 90% scared. If we win tonight then that will change to 100% excited.

I don't see any reason why the Yankees wouldn't win tonight

So many things add up to me being scared tonight, and all those things point to a Yankee win

Twins never beat the Yankees

Ervin Santana is 0-5 with an ungodly ERA in the Bronx

These 2 things make me more scared than confident, just cause thats how these things work in sports

He really needs to remain in the pen, at least for this year

Has to. He's not stretched out enough.

use him like Andrew Miller.

Well he hasn't pitched poorly there the last couple seasons.

Ha! I hear you. I didn't know about Santana's struggles in the Bronx. He's actually 2-6 in the Bronx (2-1 at old Yankee Stadium). He did alright this year, though - 5.2 IP / 2 ER.

I'm in 2 leagues, combined 6-2. Lost last night thanks to Kareem Hunt.

I had picked up Will Fuller (it's a 14-team league) but I just thought it would take a bit for him to get adjusted to Watson throwing it to him.
