It will be a bidding war between the SEC and the B1G and will hinge on their letting a team or possibly two go by the wayside.

But I think that Oklahoma/Texas as a package goes anywhere they want. And every conference out there want's that.

So much depends on who OU chooses as its next President. The balance at Oklahoma is always a struggle between academics and sports. If OU's next Prez leans a hair to the sports side (which is where 2/3 of the fans always are) then the B1G is likely not OU's destination because most OU fans couldn't care less about playing the majority of the B1G schools. We would go to the SEC. If the Prez is Boren Part II, we would possibly go to the B1G but there would be hell to pay from the fans and it would inevitably cause a huge rift in OU Nation. The easiest solution would have been staying in the Big XII if there had been any decent new members joining the conference. And now that Baylor has stunk up the conference even more, kicking them out would have us down to just 9 members. The Big XII looks like a Monty Python skit.

That had nothing to do with the Big 12 being inferior.

If TEXAS or OKLAHOMA were the schools in 2014-15, the Buckeyes are sitting at home.
And in reverse if it was Purdue as the Big 10 champs, 2014-15 TCU/Baylor would have went.

And that is fair.
College Football was built on the backs of ND, Texas, OU, USC, Alabama, Nebraska, and Michigan.
Those schools have done so much for the sport that they have all earned a little leeway.

I've seen that before and a big part of me agrees, brand matters , even more so than a conference championship.

So then, what happens if/when Texas and OU are at full song, being the big dawgs that they are supposed to be and both finish the season with 1 loss with one having lost the RRS and one losing the CCG? One goes for sure, what about both?
