YESSSS, I couldn't be happier. This is almost as good as when the Bears signed Cutler to a long term deal. Those guys are always the MVP for the Pack when we play them. Great news for all Pack fans.
Except that it raises Rodgers next deal higher than what Stafford got
The Lions will have a good year in 4 years when Stafford is looking for a new deal... if he keep his trend going.
Smart move by the Lions?
I'm thinking no

He's thrilled with the signing, clearly. That's actually Caldwell's happy face tbh.
When my ice cream hand won't work properly, I eat as the lilYeah, I tend to not do well if I have an injury... But I guess that is only me in the world...

BTW K. Cousins also thanks Detroit.
I like Stafford a lot, always have. No way he deserves to get a payday like that. But he's worth whatever a team will pay him. In the case of Detroit, they need to sweeten the pot to keep quality players.
Funny you don't use that same approach toward Flacco.....And where is @Southieinnc ?....He may have to get therapy when he finds out that Flacco's contract has dropped to #6 now and will be even lower once Rodgers and others get paid.....You guys have lost your ammo !!!!
"
Stafford's record-setting deal pushes Flacco down to No. 6 in terms of average per season. Flacco's $22.1 million per-year average is dwarfed by Stafford's $27 million per-season value.
Like Flacco, Stafford isn't expected to stay at No. 1 for too long. The money for quarterbacks is only going to go up with Aaron Rodgers, Matt Ryan, Kirk Cousins and Drew Brees set for new deals.
For now, Stafford is the NFL's highest-paid player and maybe everyone will start asking whether he is an elite quarterback, as well."
