Right. Nice. You should stick to college player prospect evals. Hell, you prob have a .128 batting avg if it was baseball. ;)

I appreciate the positive fans, but right now Paxton doesn't even have the basics down in year two. Not good. I am just bracing myself for a new QB search again next year. Because we need to take a mulligan on this one, sadly.

I think it is a time when fans need to be concerned about both the OL and the QB position. I'm very concerned about the run game, but more so because of the OL then our RB's. There is need for concern of both, not just 1.

To make things work you have to click on all cylinders and right about now our offense isn't looking like it is clickong on any cylinder. I really feel bad for DT and Manny. Hopefully they stay patient this year. (again)

Great Post agree 1000% DC

Lynch is a project we knew this when he was drafted. While yes we have another new offense to learn.

My issues

1. No improvement on reading D's yr 2
2. When media asked after games how you did he said pretty good. Umm you sucked dude.

Great news! My average just went up. I hit grand slams on Trevor and Paxton. (Although was hoping to strike out)

I guess that leaves you as that 40 year old vet still trying to hack it in rookie ball. :dhd::dhd:

I dont know why you guys are freaking out, I think Trevor is going to be a solid qb for Denver. No, he wont be the next Elway, but he isnt gonna be "kyle orton", either

Hell, at this point I'd take him as Kyle Orton. #FreakOut

Ok that was a joke.

Paxton Lynch could still end up as the quarterback for the Broncos but his chances are very slim. He was given every opportunity to be the guy this year but his draft status isn't going to mean squat going forward. He no longer controls his own destiny. I hope Siemian plays lights out this year and gets the Broncos into the playoffs but I'm not optimistic. There is no doubt in my mind that the Broncos have no idea who our next franchise quarterback is. This is sad.

I'm happy with Siemian - his fellow players like and believe in him - Man- that's half the battle. Now - give Siemian a run game -and see how much better he is as a QB.

I was really astonished that the Broncos were so basic in offense the first two games of the preseason. They don't want to show anything - apparently. I'd rather have Siemian rather than Alex Smith - or Mahomes. Therefore, I don't believe the Broncos are consigned to a 500 season.

Of course it wasn't funny to you because it was a slam at you. It wasn't suppose to be funny for you. DUH!

Anyway... away form the kindergarten talk and let's get back to the topic at hand.

We have Brian Hoyer at QB this year, so with him we can at least win with a good D... Hopefully the run game helps Brian a bit more this year.

I'd take Smith and Mahomes over Siemian. I wouldn't be excited about Smith but I'd take him over Siemian. I trust him more. I'd take Mahomes over both in a heart beat long term. But respect your opinion that you may not be a fan of either.

If Siemian can turn into Alex Smith we have a shot at the playoffs, but that would consistent of not turning the ball over in the red zone and being able to feel as pass rush when it is there.

If he can overcome those things he can at least be a stop gap this year, if he can't then this year will get very irritating.

I literally do not understand the thought process behind giving up on a guy a little over a year into his career. Are we so spoiled we can't wait for a guy to develop? Look at Aaron Rodgers. How long did it take for him to become an elite passer? Not that I'm saying Paxton will be Aaron Rodgers, but should we really be writing him off this soon? Can the guy get at least a second season in the NFL before getting bust status?

(Although, I may not be the guy to make this sort of post. I dubbed Brock Osweiler "Kyle Orton Jr." after his first preseason.)

You realize that Aaron Rodgers was sitting behind Favre thus he wasn't playing until what? Year 4 of his career? Hard to show that you're an elite passer sitting on the bench. That is probably a bad example because once Rogers got his opportunity he shined right away unlike the situation here.

A little different here. Denver basically gave the job to Paxton and he couldn't even grab it.

I get what you're saying. I don't think people are totally saying Paxton Lynch is a bust like many media people are putting in their articles, but when you have to look at progression too. Paxton has not gotten any better over the course of a season, now that is need for concern. Even Osweiler got better from year 1 to year 2... Everyone learns and develops different, but when you don't look better from your first to your second year with your field awarness and mechanics you aren't exactly appealing to a coaching staff.

I don't think we have given up, the coaching staff maybe? I don't know how they think, But I would say that we are on about Step 2 of the give up process if their are 3 steps. Smidge to early to jump onto step 3 but the step has some cheeseburgers on it and after so long you get hungry.

On a positive note. Siemian was the first QB named since the solar eclipse, so he has that going for him.

No shocker after last weeks game.

But deny it all you want but we have a major QB problem in Denver right now.

When your 2nd year first round pick can't beat out your limited stop gap QB, it is never a good sign. You can deny it all you want, but it is a problem.

Here is hoping for the best for both guys as we go forward this season.

Woudn't surprise me if TB finished his career in Denver. This may very well be his swan song season in New England.

Apparently Denver made several phone calls to teams requesting possible QB trades this morning before naming Siemian starter. Not good.

We can deny it all we want, but we done gone messed up at QB.

really ?

I think he will retire a Patriot.
But it's funny to think about it.

Drew Brees, maybe.
