Yup which is why with all the Beef we added I was hoping to get the chance for them to give me hope. Maybe next game. Really did like what I saw from Bolles today.

I liked it he dumped a guy after hitting Trevor I haven't seen that from our OL for a long time.

DeAngelo Henderson looks pretty good with his opportunity.

Definitely showed that shiftiness that you see in Sproles. I love that when he runs not only is he making guys miss but once he does he gets upfield in a hurry instead of continuing to dance around.

Well Negatives to start off...

1) Neither of the QB's looked great. Siemian definitely looked better but not sure I saw anything different out of him compared to last year with the short completions and throwing short of 1st down. Lynch did not look comfortable until his final drive where he got into a little bit of a rhythm. showed his athleticism on his big run for a 1st down on what looked like was going to turn into a strip sack fumble.

2) Looks like our RT once again could really struggle in pass blocking. Hopefully his run blocking can make up for some of that.

3) Did any of the TE's even play? I know they did but seriously nothing from them. Is that because they couldnt' get open or because the QB's didn't try to get the ball to them?

4) Carlos Henderson with a terrible first game.

5) Winn going down with injury stinks to see.

The Good...

1) Run blocking with the 1st team OL looked much better.

2) Tied into that Bolles had a great debut for the Broncos. Got movement in the run game and held up in the pass blocking.

3) DT and Sanders look to be in midseason form.

4) NFZ looking as sharp as ever in their few snaps.

5) Run defense with the 1st unit actually got some penetration. Crick did a much better job holding up at the point of the play. I like our DL depth as well. Gotsis had a couple of plays where he got pushed back but otherwise got a nice push and had great awareness of where the ball was at to make a couple of big plays.

6) De'Angelo Henderson definitely could be a steal. Obviously runs were against players that most likely don't make a roster but he looked fast and some very nice cuts.

7) Khalif Raymond making sure the Broncos don't just dismiss him.

8) Cody Latimer with a very promising game

9) For the most part at least starters wise everybody stayed healthy

I thought from our undrafted class Jamal Carter and Shakir Soto looked the best. Orion Stewart maybe next.

Marcus Rios really struggled. Dante Barnett got a lot less time then Carter and Stewart.

Raymond and Latimer surely looked good with the opportunity they called upon them.

Sloter to McKenzie was beautiful granted, it was a gimme, but still nice pass and catch.

Lorenzo Doss struggled against 2nd team offense.

and our 3rd and short sucked :(

Stephenson and Watson struggled too.

(and yes we know it was just the first PS game) but what else do we have to talk about?

Just wish we had a quality back up tackle or I guess more than 1 starter quality tackle. Bolles so far looking like the only keeper. Might go OT again next year in the 1st round.

Either. I'm a big Paxton fan but tonight definitely a little disappointed. Showed some of why I like him with having the strong arm to fit a ball into anywhere and the ability to turn a negative play into a positive but his inconsistencies just feel like nails on a chalkboard. Siemian is Siemian. Can be consistent obviously but there is just no explosion to the offense and we will struggle to score points.

OT wise I think we really do have a keeper in Bolles. Yes very early in his career but he looks very solid in both run and pass blocking. Have to fix that other side. I liked the interior of the OL in run blocking tonight and I think with some more time together they can improve on the pass blocking as well. So that RT spot is just such a huge weakness. We need Lynch to just have things click and soon.

I'm surprised the game hasn't slowed down for him yet. I loved Bolles tude fire need that on the line.
