What's the chances of Justin Verlander being traded in August?
i would absolutely take a flierIf the David Price elbow looks ugly, Boston might take a peek.
Feels like it'd almost be his only fit I feel like.i would absolutely take a flier
Straight up swap for Price? Scenery change might do him some good.I'd like to see them continue their rebuild by trading him, but not if it's just a salary dump. I, like probably most of their fans would not be happy to see them trade him for nothing prospects just to get rid of his salary. If they get some good prospects then I'd be ok with them eating some of the salary to facilitate a deal.
I'd hate it if we did that. Verlander is pitching better anyway, similiar in age and a lot less money owed. Not to mention Price's injury history lately.Straight up swap for Price? Scenery change might do him some good.
No one can ever rule out the Dodgers acquiring an expensive player.Depending upon price tag it could be an ok signing with Boston.
I am not ruling out the Dodgers at this point

Why didn't the Tigers try to trade Verlander last month, or did they? What's the chances of Justin Verlander being traded in August?
But the Dodgers can claim he off the waiver list and see what the Tigers do then.I don't think the Dodgers are going to trade for an aging pitcher like Verlander. This isn't the same front office as it was a few years ago.
