So i'm looking at the Leafs, and looking at the numbers being thrown around for McDavid, and looking at the stats of the big 3.

I know there's another few days before July 1 and then that day itself (although there's mostly yard sale items available, not many items with the sticker on them) but I'm getting a little disheartened by the Leafs' inaction. I really feel like the next two years are going to be their best window before they have to go Blackhawks-style because of all the salary increases and they should be taking a risk or two today to ensure they make the most of it.

He certainly is - Tons of skill though and these days, small guys certainly have a better chance then even 10 years ago.

Fun comment I've seen today: The Leafs have had 6 first overall draft picks play for their team in the past 30 years (Clark, Sundin, Berard, Nolan, Lindros, Matthews), which as far as I can tell is the most of any team during that span (I think Edmonton's next with 5, 4 of whom came in the past few years lol).

Not all of them were at the top of their games obviously but that's pretty crazy.

Not all of them were at the top of their games obviously but that's pretty crazy.

Dives/Nordiques off the top of my head probably have a few. Currently they've got MacKinnon, Johnson and they just picked up Yak. I'm sure Sundin and Nolan qualify so that is five off the top of my head. And they drafted Lindros. So that puts them in second with 5.5 #1 overall picks.
