You're crazy. Crowder is a decent player on a GREAT contract.

He is a very nice part of the team system that Brad Stevens has built...

Hurray if we keep Crowder... Hur-F'n-ray.

They need to keep Crowder.....he can defend multiple positions and like you said.....on a team friendly deal.

im split. decent player, a bit over hyped (like most celtics players are on that team), but its a nice contract and he does defend multiple positions.

not sure how he would take to losing minutes to the guy who was cheered for here, while on utah.

The MLE is roughly 8 million a season.....he makes less than that. With all the firepower the C's are stacking......you need role players who can play D. He can guard 3 positions....

They've dumped 2 white guys -- and only brought one in. Miami would have had to dump 3 black guys to bring in Hayward.

Try again.

Didn't Boston dump three white players?

Olynyk, Zeller, and Jerebko.

PS...on the celtics cap...i had no idea that if you sign someone to a max deal and hit the cap, you get a 15% waiver for another player? am i understanding that right?

Crowder is a stiff that would make a nice bench player for some team. He seems to have a good shooting percentage but is one of those guys that always seems to miss when the game is on the line. Won't be sad to see him go.

He is also on a bench player contract and has 2 far more talented youngsters on the roster who play the same position (Heyward also). Crowder's role will decrease substantially this year, but he is still valuable.

Bradley was a rental because the C's could not afford to keep him. Move Bradley, open up some minutes for Brown and Tatum, and acquire a versatile player capable of working at the 4.

Win, win, win. Great trade for the Celtics.

Celtics D may take a hit next season but they should be able to score more, maybe a lot more.

Their offense is shaping up to be deadly.

I'm not even factoring Tatum in... because I don't think he's ready for big minutes, especially at first.

Deadly seems like a stretch at least compared to the deadly offenses in Oakland and Cleveland.

I want to see how Brown, Tatum, and Hayward are able to play together. Assuming that they can all interchangeably move between 2, 3 and 4 seems dubious to me.

Isaiah Thomas and Al Horford are already top notch offensive players at their respective positions... Horford more because his floor spacing, passing and decision making. They've added Hayward to the mix.

At least 3 good role players in Brown, Crowder and Morris.

Even if we expect little growth out of guys like Smart and Rozier, and nothing out of Tatum... that's already an awesome offense.

No one is GS, and a motivated LeBron is a one man wrecking ball... I won't argue that.

I won't factor in Tatum at this point... too much to expect almost anything out of a fresh drack pick...

But Brown and Hayward have already proven to be versatile NBA performers. The C's overall have great versatility at the wing...

- Smart can play the 1, 2 or 3
- Brown can play the 2 or 3
- Hayward can play the 2, 3 or 4
- Crowder can play the 3 or 4
- Morris can play the 3 or 4

A whole lot of interchangeability there...

They will be an absolute small ball nightmare for a lot of teams. They should put up points in bunches.

On Marcus Morris, I'm curious to see if his rebounding improves a bit when he's not paired with Drummond.
