The Boston Celtics are trading guard Avery Bradley and a second-round pick to the Detroit Pistons for forward Marcus Morris, league sources told ESPN.

The Bradley deal creates the salary cap space needed to sign free agent forward Gordon Hayward to a four-year, $128 million maximum contract.

The Los Angeles Lakers and LA Clippers were aggressive suitors for Bradley in the past 24 hours, league sources said.

Bradley is in the final year of his contract and was unsure whether he fit long-term financially into Boston's structure. Detroit could be aggressive in pursuing a new deal with him, something that Bradley has been keenly interested in, league sources said.

i think, off memory, bradley ranks 15th among guards defensively.

It's a good move by the C's... kudos to Ainge for bringing back a plenty viable front court body when the entire league knew that Boston had to make a move after the Hayward decision...

That said: I'm really going to miss Bradley. He is a good, good player... I hope he gets paid next off-season like he should... I have little doubt he will get paid...

Crowder is a stiff that would make a nice bench player for some team. He seems to have a good shooting percentage but is one of those guys that always seems to miss when the game is on the line. Won't be sad to see him go.
