It sounds reasonable, to me.

Olynyk looks a little goofy... (and plays a lil goofy sometimes, too)... but he's a remarkably skilled 7 footer that shoots around 40% from 3 pt range.

As a role player, a team could do a lot worse.

I actually thought he was somewhat underutilized by Boston.

His deficiencies are pretty obvious, but he can really play on the offensive end. I think he fits really well next to Whiteside.

Boston just needed him to rebound and defend, and that isn't his game.

I think a lot of Boston fans soured on Olynyk... at least in part... because of his inconsistency. Dude definitely was frustrating.

I don't know if it was a confidence thing or whatever... but dude would disappear offensively for many games at a time... then emerge with a 20+ pt performance... then fade into the background again... rinse and repeat.

"Remarkably skilled" is definitely an overstatement. And he doesnt rebound or defend like a 7 footer because his arms are so short.

He does one thing well. Score. But he is wildly inconsistent.

Yeah it was Olynyks 15 points and three rebounds. Not Marcus Smart scoring 27 points and hitting seven 3-pointers.

Or Bradley scoring 20.
Or Crowder getting 14 and 11.

Olynyk was literally the Celtics 5th best player that night.

No it isn't. Not many 7 footers have the coordination and skills that Kelly Olynyk has.

And he doesnt rebound or defend like a 7 footer because his arms are so short.

He does one thing well. Score. But he is wildly inconsistent.

We're not far apart on these points. I'd add that Olynyk passes well and is a decent team defender.
