I like Simmons' game and all. But let's stop talking like he's the best player to come through the draft since Lebron. In college he didn't even get LSU close to sniffing the NIT, let alone the NCAA tourny.

His college team didn't win, Fultz' college team didn't win, and Embiid can't stay healthy. That all could change, but doubt will dominate until it does.

Dario Saric averaged 12.8 points 6.3 rebounds and 2.2 assists. He shot 41.1% from the field.

Julius Randle averaged 13.2 points, 8.6 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game. He shot 48.8% from the field.

Jordan Clarkson averaged 14.7 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game. He shot 44.5% from the field. Off the bench.

That's just 2. If we look at newly acquired Brooke Lopez who averaged 20.5 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists. He shot 47.4% from the field.

Tell me more about how much better Saric is than anyone on the Lakers roster.

I've explained this to him before.

He's been upset about the Lakers keeping their pick ever since the draft lottery.

I don't know if you saw my post saying I respect the fact you keep it clean in here because there's a ton of racists on the site who say ignorant stuff...

No, I missed that one. When I was asked to moderate the NBA boards it was total shit show. It was politics board level bad. lol

but it has been only the Laker fans and I just said things like, "It is stupid and close minded to think that" I didn't attack anyone personally here. I have in the past on the NFL board but I really don't see the big deal here outside of me saying you guys are being ridiculous.

Do you not realize that saying "It is stupid and closed minded to think that" is, in fact, calling that person both stupid and closed minded? Additionally, disagreeing with you doesn't mean someone is stupid and closed minded, it just means they don't agree with you.

"I wouldn't want Embiid or Simmons on the Lakers"..

What you keep leaving out is that everyone has mentioned injury issues and not having seen the player play as reasons. As of right now...no, I wouldn't want Embiid. Not because he's not talented, but because he has been in the league since 2014 and has played 31 games. It doesn't matter how talented a guy is, if he can't play. Embiid might be the greatest center since Kareem, but what good is he if he can't play?

As for Simmons, I know 3 things about him. He hasn't played 1 second in the NBA, he allowed himself to be kept out all season over a 4 week injury and despite his talents, he couldn't get his college team to the NCAA tournament.

As I said, I'm happy with the Lakers roster and I like the direction they are headed.

And now we get to his real issue. Lol.

No wonder being the tallest midget is such a big deal to him.

OK, I respect that. The Hoop needs more of it to be honest.

It would be easier for you to use the quote function you know.

If you really want to see dishonesty - go tell everyone in the politics room your political views and tell me how that works out:lol:

Wow. Lots of smack talk on here.

I have a bet idea for @PhoenixEagles1 and whichever Laker fan wants to take it.

Both teams are in good spots, but for very different reasons. Lakers have young talent + the possibility to attract an elite FA or two next year. But, the West is ridiculous right now. The 6ers play in a much softer conference and have some serious talent, but serious injury concerns.

The bet should be:

Which team wins a playoff series first?

I would take the Lakers on that one, but only because Philly isn't ready this year and the Lakers might get a huge influx of talent next year.

Tell me more about how much better Saric is than anyone on the Lakers roster.

Last year he was better then anyone on the Lakers roster. The last half of the season he averaged 20 and 10. The Sixers wouldnt trade anyone on last years Lakers roster for Saric except for Ingram just because of his future but definitely not on how they played last year.

Embiid was drafted in 2014 and has played a grand total of 31 games (all of them last year) and you think he's suddenly going to be healthy. I feel for the kid because he's a fantastic young talent when he's healthy. But as of now, he looks to be more Greg Oden than all-star.

I agree. Embiid has SERIOUS injury issues but he is 1st team all NBA if he plays 82 this year and the Lakers have no one even close to that ability.

He still hasn't played a single NBA game. So, we have no clue how close he will come to living up to the hype, if at all. If he were a Laker and he allowed himself to be sat out an entire season over a 4 week injury, I'd be questioning how badly he wants to play.

It was a team decision. Yes, he hasnt played a single game but neither has Ball. Youre not excited about what Ball can do for the Lakers?

Fultz looks to be pretty good. He's more of a scorer, so he will have to learn to give up the ball or maybe Simmons runs the offense as a "point forward" but there is going to be a learning curve.

THeres going to be a big learning curve. His handles look sloppy to me and as of right now will be a severe turnover problem for the Sixers. He is a combo guard but I dont see him being able to handle the PG responsibilities.

You have to attract players with that cap space. The Lakers are looking at having enough cap space for 2 max players next year and already have one top FA saying he wants to play for them. Who is saying they want to be a Sixer? I don't know if it will actually work out for the Lakers. But let's not pretend that the Sixers are the only team that will have cap space next year.

You are right on this one. Philly should be able to attract major FA's if the prospects show they are the real deal. Philly is also the 4th largest market in the NBA but will NEVER be able to draw FA like the Lakers because LA is probably the greatest place to live in the world if you are young and rich.

So, you're basing it on prayer, hope and bunch of "If's" just like every other lottery level team.

Now, once again I ask, why do you care so much about being the tallest midget?

I dont think the 76ers are midget status anymore. They might be able to contend for the playoffs this year and if that Lakers pick turns out to be #1 in 2018... watch out!

Also, what's wrong with Lakers fans being happy with their roster and the direction their team is headed and Sixers fans happy with theirs?

Nothing. Its the "I'd rather have the Lakers roster right now over the Sixers. I wouldnt want Simmons or Embiid on the Lakers. Thats just nonsense. If the Lakers landed either one of them right now we'd be hearing how you have the ammo to take down GS.

LOL. The #2 pick that's been made untouchable in all trade talks is a disappointment? Nothing about that rings true whatsoever.

Yeah... Ingram was freaking unstoppable this year and was an all star... right. He was a MAJOR MAJOR disappointment. I understand not wanting to give up on him all ready, but I'd be really concerned after last season.

He never posted a thing on the NBA boards until the draft lottery. It's been a lot of Laker hate since then.

It hasnt been any hate towards the Lakers. Its the non ability for a few Laker fans to say that, right now, the Sixers have a lot more elite prospects then LA. Like I said... your main two prospects are Ingram and Ball and Ingram got outplayed by Saric BIG TIME. What it looks like to me is we have two bad teams and one will be adding Ball next season and one will be adding Simmons, Fultz and maybe Embiid for 82. We all know thats a big maybe but he is potentially a top 5 player in the league RIGHT NOW!

Dario Saric

Tell me in which month he averaged 20 and 10

At least you've realised this is the bullshit thread.

You have a good point. If LA adds Lebron next year its a no brainer... but I think Philly is adding some serious talent RIGHT NOW and will have more money to spend then LA. We dont need to bring in 2 FA... but one would be nice.

The last 35 games he averaged just a tad under 20 and 10.

In Feb he averaged 17.0 In March he averaged 18.4 and in April it was 12.2

And he had a grand total of EIGHT double digit rebound games since Jan 1st.

So again, tell me, how did he average 20 and 10?

Go read the article dude. 19.5, 8 and 4

Since the All-Star break, Saric has averaged 19.5 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 4.2 assists an outing. Basically, he’s been racking up Blake Griffin or Paul Millsap numbers.

I post facts and you still call me a liar.
