Two 7 inning complete game shutouts for our Frisco pitchers tonight. Colin Wiles and Yohander Mendez got the job done. Sadzeck pitches tomorrow.

Sell what? Darvish won't be enough

Fair enough... I guess what I meant was I don't see any reason to think we'd be buyers at this point, there is so much that's not working. So, sellers or nothing, I suppose.

When Michael Young was 24 years old he started off the season by hitting .162 in his first 37 at bats. Should he have been benched for someone else?
you have a habit of comparing apples to oranges.
Situations are different when comparing the three guys in LF this season with no track record to guys like Fielder and Young. Contracts and money will factor more often than not. I'm done here, you clearly have issues with a different opinion from yours.

I gotta tell ya. Your attitude sucks.

Just a few days ago you gave me a mini-lecture on how baseball works due to your 20 years of playing managing, and basically insinuated I didn't have much of a clue. Well, let me clue you on a few something. I grew up with my old man being a minor league player, and played for over 30 years. And there are several guys here who can top me. Not saying my opinion is more valuable than yours though. It's just not less.

But then you go on to say something to the effect of "everything here is just opinions" anyway. Frankly, it seemed to be a cop out to make it appear you weren't being heavy handed, which you were. Actually, more condescending than heavy handed.

You've gone out of your way to position this site as a bunch of good old boys who won't tolerate opposing views. Honestly, I've had more than a few "disagreements" along the way, and at times have ignored certain individuals, or I've taken a time out from here myself.

So stop painting yourself as such a victim. You aren't.

You the man! I think saddles said he's been strictly playing SS there.

look forward to seeing your takes.
Profar played SS last night as you mentioned. Profar went 1-3 with BB drove in one.

Guzman 1-3 BB

Ross tossed 5 innings but too many pitches and walked too many (4). Gave up 2 ER but infield shift against lefties did him in.

Got a lot of ground balls which is good. Of the 3 fly balls one was missed by the LFer (Snider) who was snoozing out there and his failed attempt to get the fly ball reminded me of Nelson Cruz in game 6 2011 WS. But I digress as I pick at that scab again.

Thanks for the update. But I could have gone all day without being reminded of this wound.

Atta boy Pardner. Bet he would never believe I played with Babe Ruth and doubt you will either. LOL

I have no issue with differing opinions. I am just asking you questions that arise naturally to me when hearing your opinion.

Michael Young was a rookie when he did that so I am comparing apples to apples. Young was 24 at the time and so is Profar now.

You want to say being a proven veteran is different from a young inexperienced player now when it suits your argument. That is what I have been saying all along. You cannot treat young players like veterans. Now you agree with that, but that is what I have been using as a basis all along. You are trying to have it both ways.

This is an example of Banny having too much patience I believe. It seems like he is grasping at straws looking for any excuse to keep Odor that high in the lineup.

"This is really the first opportunity to have him hit behind Adrian," manager Jeff Banister said Saturday. "I want to see if that will have an impact. I think it will."

So far: Not so much. For the second straight night, Odor came up short in potential game-changing at-bats in a 6-5 loss to Houston. Three times with a chance to give the Rangers the lead in the fifth inning or later, he struck out.

Banister said before the game he still has confidence in Odor.

"He was swinging the bat well for a stretch before having a little bit of a skid. The combination of Adrian and Rougned was a really good combination for us last year. I want to see what the impact is. It has set up recently for him to put some really solid numbers on the board when he gets going."
