It, I think @TJL was defending your right to choose...lol
Yea I think so too in a back handed way - even though the post he quoted was more fitting in terms of him rooting for LBJ after the Heat didn't make the post season. :D

I'm a huge Cavs/Lebron fan. The biggest. Have been for a bout fifteen straight minutes. And I'll remain as such until such a time that they either win or lose the 2017 NBA finals, at which time, regardless of the outcome, I'll go right back to not giving a fuck about Lebron, the Cavs, or basketball in general.

An average cavs fan then. Gotcha.

It seems like there are quite a few Laker fans among the LeBron haters.

What did he ever do to you all?
eclipsed Kobe.

there used to be argument for Kobe.....back a few years ago....now thats gone....not all- i dont want to lump in all the Lakers fans- have a chip on their shoulder because of the fact LeBron has eclipsed Kobe---- but plenty of them do.

What all time greats have publicly taken leshortcut over kobe? Beside the stat loving posterboys that are here. I thought pippen had a good point. Kobe and Jordan want the ball. LeBron is a facilitator. He looking to defer on every play.

Scottie Pippen: LeBron James Not Better Than Kobe Bryant

from your brilliant article:

“And I don’t think he should be compared to either of those players [Michael Jordan and Kobe] because they’re playing different positions. Kobe and Michael are both 2 guards. They’re both scorers. They’re mostly like a Kyrie [Irving] — they’re looking to score the basketball.

“I like to compare him to Magic. I think he plays a lot more like Magic, a lot more like myself — how I played, but obviously he’s more dominant than both me and Magic because of the way that he plays the game. His physicality, his athleticism surpassed Magic as well as me.”

the crazy thing is - LeBron is only 32....he still has quite a bit of time left to continue adding to his resume.

he has taken care of himself- and knock on wood- has not had any serious injuries either....by the time its all said and done- LeBron is going to be so far ahead out in front its not even funny.

NEW YORK-Scottie Pippen said that LeBron James is the greatest all round player of all time while Michael Jordan is only the greatest scorer of all time on ESPN’s Mike And Mike In The Morning Radio Show:

“Michael Jordan is probably the greatest scorer to play the game,” Pippen said Friday on “Mike & Mike In The Morning” on ESPN Radio. “But I may go as far as to say LeBron James may be the greatest player to ever play the game because he is so potent offensively that not only can he score at will but he keeps everybody involved.

Leshortcut? If that's what you call LeBron for joining 2 All Stars in Miami what do you call Durant? He joined a team couldn't beat, that have 3 All Stars + the 2x League MVP & are 2x defending conference champs.

dude....we know the place of jealously the post is coming from ....its cool.

Kobe was amazing...prob right around top 10 of all time...right inside or right outside probably....scoring, heart, work ethic, were off the charts...always added moreto his game. Won 5 titles (2 Finals MVPs)--- won 1 mvp- but prob should have gotten 2.

but at this point - its just not a comparison anymore. LeBron does so many things better. Much better passer, much better rebounder, much better at supporting his teammates and getting them involved.

Where LeBron is really going to seperate himself is the next few years. Its when the numbers are just gonna get so skewed towards lebron its ridiculous.

Kobe ran himself into the ground to a certain degree..never rested....he sustained some fairly serious injuries. He was pretty much done by the time he was 34. He went a shell of himself on some really bad teams.

That isnt gonna be LeBron. Ill guarantee you. LeBron is a freaking truck. knock on wood - he has never had a serious injury. He isnt a stubboron prick--- which helped Kobe at times--- but also hurt his longevity...LeBron can swallow his pride and sit out games here and there for rest - which makes sure he doesnt sustain serious injuries like Kobe's ACL tear which has been directly tied to the insane minutes he was playing at the time. LeBron's size is gonna help him later in his career.

once a guard loses their legs- they are done.....LeBron could have a renaissance moving to a point-forward type role...he could play like Duncan did- still making ALL NBA teams well into his late 30s

the gap is just going to continue to widen over the next 4-5 years.

Are people still trying to compare Lebron to Jordan? No Lebron isn't better and not even CLOSE. That ship sailed long ago. . Hes not even better than Bird in terms of an all around player pre-back injury.

Lebron is only 32 but hes also been around logging a lot of minutes/court time since he was 18.

Kobe sat the bench a few years. Lebron has been logging heavy mins ever since he got in the league. Lebron's decline is bound to come within a year or two.

Do you know what Jordan would do in this league and if he played for the Cavs? ROFLMAO.

Probably a career 40ppg or close to it. And way more than 6 championships. We're talking close to Russell range here.

Kobe didn't get hit with serious injuries until the end, but Lebron is due for a bad injury as well. He won't stay physically superhuman forever. No one does.

To surpass Jordan, you have to dominate more than Lebron did. The best bet would have been Shaq. Who was more dominant than Lebron. But he got lazy.

If there was one guy that could have matched or surpass Jordan, it was Shaq. If Shaq couldn't do it, NO ONE can IMO. Since he was a true freak of nature. Moreso than Lebron

What ultimately hurt Lebron was that killer instinct that Jordan had. That was Jordan was the perfect micro-organism of a basketball player. He had the complete package that other players miss.

Alot of guys have talent but they don't have the competitiveness, killer instinct of MJ. Kobe was the closest mindset wise to Jordan, but he was a questionable teammate, and sometimes a DUMB IQ for basketball.

Lebron's got close to the all around talent but mentally doesn't have what MJ/Kobe had.

As Said, theres ALWAYS something missing with these players. Jordan had no weakness. They had weaknesses.

Jordan would have made a complete fucking MOCKERY JOKE of this current League.

Well some of that is from forming these super teams with multiple all stars. Kobe didn't have a 3rd guy like LeBron has had since he ring chased. There wouldn't be this sitting out games if he wasn't on stacked team and playing in East just multiplies that.

I'll give you LeBron is a better passer and rebounder. Nice stat stuffers. In comparing greats those don't mean much. LeBron styled is just much like his choices to Go to Miami and then once Cleveland had kyrie and love. Raise your hand if you think he goes back without both. He likes easy things. Passing to open shooters. Recruited high 3 point shooters. He don't like tough defenders. Hed rather run a pick and get switched on to a smaller guy. How many times did we see him matched up with iguoudala and he switch on to curry purposely over and over. He chooses easy matchups like that. That's just not how Kobe and Jordan brain work. They like screw a pick you can't guard me. Jordan went right at players like John Starks. Kobe destroyed players like raja bell Bruce Bowen etc. Not getting switched onto some 175 pound pg smh

LOL.

If the defense is switching screens, it would be extremely stupid not to take advantage. What you are basically saying in the post above is that LeBron should go 1 on 1 against an elite defender instead of involving another teammate with a ball screen to get a better matchup. Failure to take advantage of opponent's defensive scheme is not noble, it is dumb.

Great post.. And Kobe liked to compete. Lebron (And now Durant) shows us they Don't want to compete. When the two best players in the world don't want to compete? Thats sad for the game
