Granted, it's been over a decade since I was a Ticket listener, and I was always more of a Hardline/Bad Radio fan, but I don't remember baseball being the Musers strength.

I listen to the Musers a little, Norm and very little of the midday show. I enjoyed the Hardline when Hammer was with Rynes, but I am not a Corby fan at all.

My 2 cents worth.

HaHa. I am just the opposite. Norm and the Musers I can take. BAD Radio is not that good and the Hardline is really hard to listen to.

Way to much non-sports talk on the Hardline and too much on the Bob and Dan show as well. I have no interest in their interests in music or other forms of entertainment.

The other part of my statement is true tho. Seems like nobody can beat them.

Game One was a 7th inning bullpen implosion that ultimately cost us (Barnette)

Game 2 was an 8th inning bullpen implosion that cost us (Kela)

So that series could've easily been 2-2 or even 3-1 us and we wouldn't even be having this discussion

The ignorance by certain members of the media as regards to Yu Darvish is astonishing at times. I was listening to George Dunham talk about Yu this morning and he seems to think Yu has finally turned a corner and that his last 5 games are the best of his career. He thinks a 5 game stretch where Yu has thrown 34 innings and given up 9 ER is his best 5 game stretch. I like George, but he couldn't be more wrong.

Let's start in the beginning of his career here. You only have to go as far as Darvish's second through his sixth starts for the Rangers back in 2012 to find a stretch where he threw only two-thirds less innings and gave up 3 less ER. You can work your way forward starting from the beginning of his career with the Rangers and find several 5 game stretches where he has pitched as well or better. Right as the 2012 season was about to end Darvish threw 37 innings over a 5 game stretch while only giving up 6 ER. He had 3 different 5 game stretches in 2013 that were just as good or better. Yu is going great right now, but he has certainly done the same thing before.

He may be speaking in terms of how he perceives he's actually pitching (mixing pitches and how they break and velocity) and not the results on the field which can have a variety of variables, that's the only thing I can figure

His assessment is more subjective and yours more objective, neither is necessarily wrong just a different take

Though I do tend more towards opinions that are quantifiable.

He didn't mention any of those kind of factors though. Craig had some good counter points, but George had his mind made up. He did mention how he thought Yu used to care more about strikeouts. I just don't remember anyone complaining about all of the strikeouts when he was going through the kind of streaks like I mentioned before.

Where's the humor?

People were saying Rua should get a shot with Gomez out and I kind of agreed. Nobody wanted to see Hoying called up and if he did they just wanted him to provide depth, but it seems like rooster is going to put him in every day. Which is what nobody wanted to see.

Rua is not a CFer at all. Hoying is...their bats are negligible because they both suck with them.

For the last time. Rua is not a CF. Hoying is. Rua needs his time in LF and to do that Banister has to play Lino in CF or bench him. Lino has been hot and should not be benched at this time. Therefore, no one is happy about playing Hoying but maybe now you may figure out why he is playing.

Hoying is playing because Banny thinks more highly of him than he should. It is insignificant in this season though.

That's a weird take. Hoying is naturally a CFer and plays there routinely. Rua utility IF and Corner OF specialist who cannot really hit, so he's not multiple starts in CF any time soon. Delino is a converted OFer who is better suited for LF than he is for CF. None of them are going to hit that well to justify all the PAs they will get, so I would rather take Hoying in CF since that's his actual position.
