The CBA says it must be a fair hearing. There was nothing fair about investigating for a year and then refusing to let the investigator, who recommended no suspension because the chick isn't believable, be part of the sentencing.

I think the major difference here is Bradys case was strickly football related, while Zekes should be a criminal case handled by the State.
Honestly if the NFL has dug up incriminating evidence it should be handed over to Law Enforcement so they can charge him if warrented.
If the NFL really wants to clean up its image it would work with the law when they have evidence of abuse.

I don't recall the final ruling. I thought that was just reasserting the NFL's right to hand down judgement. This isn't questioning if the NFL can suspend him, they are saying the CBA wasn't followed because he wasn't allowed a fair hearing. Then to double down the arbitrator refused to require goodell or the accuser to attend.

OK, but the big picture with working with law enforcement holds true. I could make a case that that is true even in this case as it would cost a bundle and law enforcement got more important places to spend their dollars then a domestic violence case.

Sure, but the female is given the benefit of the doubt in most cases. Police, prosecutors, and the NFL investigator all said she wasn't believable. Text messages prove she is lying. Every witness says he didn't do it.

Giants fan + Goodell = 6 game suspension. Bull. Courts need to intervene and make the NFL live up to the contract.

Ezekiel Elliott has been granted another temporary restraining order by the Southern District of New York, and will be allowed to play Week 7.

Zeke's restraining order, apparently issued by a "fill-in" judge, is for 14 days. He will have to make his case to judge Judge Katherine Fallia when she returns from vacation "before or by Oct. 30." She will decide on a "preliminary injunction." Unbelievable. So it appears Elliott will also be good for Week 8.

So Police shouldn't respond to DV calls, of should the DA just never prosecute?

What I'm saying is the NFL should allow States to initially investigate and prosecute these cases. If the civil authorities cannot find enough evidence to at least bring it to a plea, let them do their own investigation and if they uncover evidence hand it over to the police.
