So the energy last night in msg was great. Probably a top 3 game I've attended for sure including playoff games. While the rangers potvin whistle is so played and dumb, I do find the hey hey hey for all goals score quite effective in working the crowd up. Most devil chants are just vulgar and not worth a shit. And actually can't remember any thrasher or panther chants when I attended in those markets. Whats your team got thst you like and hate?

Like: "C-B-J" (ala the U-S-A chant from the miracle on ice), and the For those about to rock/Whoa - OH-OH-OH after goals. And of course the Cannon.

Hate: Due to a really terrible promo where when the Jackets score 3 goals at home you get a bowl of chili at a local chain place. Instead of the regular goal song, they play an organ to the tune of "shave and a haircut" and end it with "CHILI!". No better way to kill momentum has ever been found. And it's all fake chants. NO ONE in the crowd says it. It's all over the sound system.

Edit: also the theme to airwolf after home wins.

Some old timer ny islander fan on the train in yesterday kept calling them the Atlanta flames. I'm thinking to myself...haven't they been in Calgary since the early 80s??

I can’t stand the power play chomp. It’s fine for little kids I guess but I refuse to do it.

It was really loud in the third period and OT when I was there two weeks ago. Of course that was the night Demko made those crazy saves.
