I swear to god, you look at that Nebraska team getting off the bus, and they look no different from an NFL team today. Not even an exaggeration.

They actually looked better than some NFL teams getting off the bus today.

That 1990 team was pretty damn good. Moore to Moore and then Terry Kirby at RB? That team was tough.

Only bad loss was to Virginia Tech, but that was after getting the wind kicked out of them by eventual National Champs Georgia Tech and then Maryland. Loved watching that team play.

The Georgia Tech loss sucked. Losing a big lead. Then Coach Welsh coaching to tie instead of coaching to win. Lastly after tieing the squib kick that gave Tech the ball a short distance from FG range.

Shawn Moore's broken finger cost UVA the next three.

The 1990 team's two toughest opponents were a 3 point loss to Ga Tech and a Sugar Bowl loss to an okay Tennessee team. But they have UVA's first ever win against Clemson.

The 1995 team's two toughest opponents were a 1 point loss in Ann Arbor to Michigan and a back and a victory over FSU. But they also had last minute losses to both Sugar Bowl teams.

1999 Virginia Tech
11-1 Lost in National Champ. game
No. 1 in Scoring Offense
No. 1 in Scoring Defense

I went to the UVA game in Blacksburg the next year. The way that the crowd reacted when Vick came back from his injury, I can only imagine the home field advantage for 99.

Our '95 team was actually undersized.

Our front 4 on D averaged around 270, and our LBs were about 215 - 220.

Team was built around speed and getting to the QB with lock down CBs in Tyrone Williams and Michael Booker.

What player on our defense was "off the bus" large and intimidating? Maybe our OL?

A lot of Bama fans will say 2009 but IMO 2011 was our best team. That defense was unbelievable.

2009 team had problems with Auburn and Tenn so would go with 2011. However there is a solid argument the 2010 team had the best talent just couldn't stay focused.

Auburn was 2004 IMO.

out of our 18 years of D-1a football

I'd say the 2009 team

dominated an Oregon team that won the Pac-12 in our opener, ran through the conference and beat TCU in the Fiesta Bowl

2006 team was also undefeated and ran through the conference along with winning the Fiesta bowl over Oklahoma

but our 2009 team has a lot of players that are still in the NFL.

OL was really what I was thinking, and our backs were all universe. Lawrence Phillips had the most ability on the field that I think I've ever seen next to AP.

And as far as the DL, just watch the tape. Those were the scariest motherfuckers. They were out for blood every snap.

Don't ever tell me that '95 DL was weak. That was the best college DL i've ever seen.

Even though they did not go undefeated and finished ranked lower than some of the recent Boise teams at #7, I have to go with the 2010 team. That team was straight loaded. Most of the starters made 53 man NFL rosters, even some of the back ups have. On offense your skill position players were Kellen Moore, Doug Martin, Titus Young, and Austin Pettis along with WR Tyler Shoemaker who's in the league and a couple of TEs that are too. The defense was possibly even more talented, studs everywhere along the line and secondary. Despite the weaker competition they finished #2 on both offense and defense statistically. All that and still choked away the Nevada game. Sad. Total meltdown in the second half and in the kicking game. The season that could have been.

I'm now thoroughly convinced you're a fucking moron. Not even in a sense that I want you to feel bad by calling you a fucking moron. More in a sense that I literally feel bad for you and hope that you're doing okay. Seek help.

I realize that Brasky is a long time SP poster, but what's the deal? It appears his meds are making him to be an unruly poster. Notice the intent to not insult. WTF? Chill out dude. There are other sports that college football. Maybe you should start gardening and taking out your frustrations on insects.

My three favorite teams in order of my favorite to least favorite team:

2011 Stanford Cardinal Luck was the best college QB I have seen
2009 Alabama Everything was awesome that year except for the QB.
1993 FSU Charlie Ward second best QB in college i have ever seen
