It is the music industry's fault for sure. They don't highlight rock music anymore. They try to pass off Imagine Dragons as Rock.

If you want to see real rock you will have to see a concert with a classic rock band before they get too old to play. Even at 80 they would be way better than the schlock that passes for music now.

Myself, I simply skip through halftime right to Q3 cause I'm watching off my PVR and I've given the game 1.5 hour head start.

I can't abide anthems, commercials or halftime.

Before my waterhole closed down, I did karaoke at least once a month. They have a stupid law in Cherokee County where there can't be any true bars and and all restaurants must serve more food than alcohol. They have karaoke at Rocco's, which is a lot closer to where I live, but it's a long ways from the people I hang out with.
