For some reason I just am not a Stones fan. I do love the Who. Seen them both in concert and The Who blew me away at the Cotton Bowl The Stones looked plastic at the Silverdome. Worst concert ever. I just connect with The Who.
"The Stones" have sold more albums and sold out more concerts than "The Who". It's not even close.

All Things Must Pass by George Harrison, Ram by Paul McCartney & Imagine by John Lennon are definitely in my top 25 albums of the 70's.

Some of my favorites too. I bet I listened to All things Must Pass at least 10 times since you posted the album here recently, I put it on before I go to bed, nice easy listening music.

I recall buying the LP when it first came out.

I think I frisbeed it out into the canal.

Maybe that was a mistake.....

At the time it was like a one hit multiple platter LP. To my "youngish" ears anyway.

The stones still sucked in the concert I went to and The Who was still kick ass.

I am not saying that all stones song suck. But The Who is just a more kick ass band IMO. It is not about the money or how many people saw them in concert. And I think Queen was better than the Stones too. Freddy Mercury was the best IMO lead singer of any band ever. He freakin delivered.

The Stones are still filling stadiums and have been called The Greatest Rock Band in the World. The Who haven't been relevant for many years.
