The Stones are still filling stadiums and have been called The Greatest Rock Band in the World. The Who haven't been relevant for many years.

That is because The Who doesn't just pump out stupid albulm after stupid albulm. The Stones have 29 studio, 24 compilation(really) and 13 live albulms. The Stones best years were late 60's early 70's with Tattoo You coming out in '81 being the only real exception. The Stones are in it for the money and have had much success where The Who was in it for the Rock they put out. Hard to keep a band together when the BEST Bass guitarist of all time dies and when one of the Best drummer of all times dies. Half the band gone out like a good rock and roll soldiers.
