Used to sit under a railroad trestle fishing with my buddies on Saturday afternoons, transistor radio on the Husker games.

That would most surely be a penalty these days especially since a Nebraska player made the tackle. A helmet to helmet hit.

Kelly Phelps does appear to have fumbled the ball. I believe the ball was loose before his knee touched the ground also.

That was an awesome tackle for sure.

I do remember this un sir --I was like in the 8th grade

As wonderful as the OU game was in 1978, the Missouri game the next week was the exact opposite of wonderful. I still remember not ever being so cold at a game at games end. It was about 10 degrees and the wind was brutal. I remember thinking how the cold would not have bothered me a bit if Nebraska would've won the Missouri game, because of all of the adrenaline flowing though my body.

The announcers for last night's game called Bell's block a great block also. The officials with their hands on their cocks, saw it differently.
