Went to a NYY game at their stadium. I won some tickets at a local golf outing here in NY. Since they were suite tickets ... took the better half ... plus the NYY had clinched the day before ... I wouldn't have to sit through that!

Thought I was reliving a freaking SFG game ... late in the game the NYY bring in Corey Gearinn. Yes ... the same Corey Gearinn. Just couldn't believe it ... didn't think he was still around .... then it gets better .... in the bottom of the 8th Toronto brings in Derek Law. Derek Law! Looked like a homecoming for ex-Giant relievers. They each survived their 'opportunity' ...

Watching the NYY was eye opening ... I don't follow any team in the AL ... and the NYY would never be an exception .... but ... don't think I've ever seen so much power spread throughout a line up. One of their scoreboard stats was ... the NYY have hit 4 or more HRs in 23 games this year. A lot of this was with Stanton out of the lineup. Very difficult to pitch to a lineup that has that much power spread through out it.

Makes you wonder what our management plans for the off season ....

More banjo hitters just to keep the line moving, I suspect....

New management. I suspect that things could start to look differently in the next few seasons. Look at the hitting prospects that FZ got at the trade deadline. He went pretty extreme in the power department (so much so that it may be difficult for them to stick due to lack of other talents).

That's my hope as well.
