The thing right now, that I can see, that keeps Gresham back from being an elite TE is the way he is being used.

Look at Graham. Finley. Gates. Hernadez. Gronkowski.

All of these guys consistently line up at WR. In the slot. Split out wide. Lined up in trips. They are using the double coverage that other WR's receive on that team to force the defense into 1-1 matchups on the outside with the TE, or risk leaving the best WR 1-1.

It's simply the new direction of the TE...an evolution of the position. Gresham still spends a lot of time blocking and lining up with his hand on the ground. I would love to see more plays like last week. Line him up split out. Force defenses to decide how they are going to cover.

I absolutely agree. That was the biggest reason I didn't want him. We can't seem to use a TE effectively.

I'm sorry did you look at post that were like a month old? He wasn't playing like he was worth a 1st rounder. With the way we use him he still isn't at the moment. Oh and way to put a link to a play that he should have made easily and then ended up not making which would have tied the game. Ringing endorsement there.

I will admit I didnt he would suck I just didnt think he would be as good as he CAN BE....I was concerned for the knees....He has stepped up SO FAR...I want to see more...If Gruden leaves I want Norv Turner who will draw up Antonio Gates plays for him.....or the NO asst who is using Jimmy Graham...Both have schemes that showcase the TE..
