I didn't say their pitching was mediocre...I said their starting pitching outside of Kuroda has been mediocre..much like the Sox outside of buchholz...

The bullpen has been great...better hope that Clairborne and Logan keep stealing vitamins from Arods locker though...

Warren has really impressed me.

They need to hit, bottom line, I have faith in the staff, although I wanted them to retain Wang

He's been lights-out. I've watched a bunch of Pirates games and they are very optimistic about their future there. They have a very deep system and just might be competitive for quite awhile.

The prevailing thought around here is, they ain't gonna be competing for much more than the 6th seed for the next 3 years anyway, at which time Doc can, and probably will, leave to coach a contender...so, if you can some useful parts for him, or include him in a broader rebuilding move? Why not?
