I'm actually surprised. I thought the Red Sox had overtaken the Yankees in terms of disliked teams...

As of right now, only two people hate the Red Sox more and 12 still hate the Yankees more?

The Yankees are still the most hated, but I would have figured the vote to be closer.

People always hate the team on top the most.

The Red Sox are the defending champs but Boston is still a long ways away from the top of the baseball mountain.

It's been New York since the 1930's.

Teams that don't spend hurt the sport far more than teams that do spend.

Relegation is a wonderful thing.

As a Padres fan I feel some bitterness towards the Red Sox over the AGon trade still. It was obvious to me Hoyer was hired so he could trade AGon to Boston. Then Hoyer bailed on the Padres the first chance he could to go to the Cubs so he could be with Theo again. Theo started his career with the Padres & has been doing his best to screw over the Pads ever since. He even hired a Padres bench coach to be his teams manager.

It's hard to like the Yankees. For so many years they spent & spent. I liked the teams they built mostly threw their farm system with guys like Jeter amongst a number of others. Those teams won Championships. I like the fact they chose not to give Cano 30M. If the Yankees spend their money wisely they'll be back on top. The problem is it's hard to say whether or not they will.

Is there anything worse than "indifferent" fans?

That's gotta make for a real boring viewing experience at the ballpark

Passion is where it's at, that's what you get in Boston and NY, and I'm sure in many other cities

Dodgers? ;)

The older I get, the less I hate teams. Hated the Yanks growing up and actually liked the Red Sox. And when I moved to the Bay Area, I grew to hate The Dodgers with a passion.

Now I don't really care...although I do enjoy disliking the Doyers.

This didn't used to be a close call. But with the recent Bosox success and increasingly annoying fans plus all of the "Boston Strong" crap (with all due respect to the families of those killed and injured) it's now a tossup.

I grew up in South Boston. In my neighborhood, you could get beat up for not beating up a kid with a Yankees hat on walking through your neighborhood.....
