Well, Karma is a two way street so I'd be careful. Never revel in others misfortune.

Hey, look on the bright side-at least neither of us are as despised as Patriot fans!

Oh wait.................

:rolleyes2:

Patriots' fans are beloved around here and that's all that matters to me

I'd say making the playoffs (and almost making the WS) and winning 100 games is "being relevant"

For sure.

In fact, since that historic 2004 postseason, the Yankees have a better regular season W% (.571 vs .553), and have made the playoffs 10 times to the Red Sox' 8.

Of course, to Red Sox fans these days, if you don't win the World Series, you're irrelevant. That's exactly how Yankees fans used to be, which is why I call them Yankees Lite.

Yankees Lite: all the arrogance with a fraction of the success

Before you say you're not, you are. Red Sox fans are now as despised as Yankees fans. More despised, IMO.

I used to be a big Red Sox fan. Back when they were the cursed Anti-Yankees. After '07, their franchise and fan base started to look like the Yankees little brother and I bailed.

I'm from the Cleveland area, genius, and I'm not afraid to root for an underdog (hence being a big Red Sox fan up to the point that they started winning).

I'm also amused by a Phillies fan acting like they root for some juggernaut. Had a nice four year run there, but besides that, they've pretty much been a perennial doormat for my adult life.
