How A Spring Game Could Work Between WVU & Marshall - The Smoking Musket

What do you guys think? I would be up for it, but rotating it again would be a issue.

I get the sense it would be a neutral site game?...be kind of cool moving it around to Wheeling, Parkersburg, Charleston, Bluefield. Martinsburg, Clarksburg/Fairmont

Would those sites offer the space needed for this game? Morgantown also offers the most opportunity for the charities to make a dime.

I'm thinking the game may draw what 20k? I think all of those sites could figure it out...

Oh gosh no, 20k is only scratching the surface imo. With those two fan bases craving live football in the spring and the friends of coal bowl being offered again? The crowd would be at or near fall numbers. gonna need a big venue. Home n home may actually work in this series.

We have talked about it before, Id rather just have Marshall (as well as the other non P5 conferences) play their seasons in the spring beginning the weekend after the CBB championship game but... This would be fun too.

Seems like a topic that's growing around the country. I think there are a lot of positives to scrimmaging a team like Marshall for the Spring Game.

Right now I know this would require a rule change, which could happen I am sure.

But what if BOTH SPRING GAMES were at the same site. That could be a huge draw.

Just a thought.
