I can't imagine Britt becoming a 1000 yard receiver. Last year was a career best for him in terms of catches and yards, and those numbers were underwhelming. With Quick back and Bailey back in good graces, I don't see Britt even matching last year's numbers.

Not sold on our No 1 WR we may go after one of these guys if the value is right when we select and they are on the board.

Thoughts?

Who would you rather have as a Ram?

Browns fan here, and I've been really high on White since the get go. I think Amari will go early, but White might be the better NFL WR and I'm really hoping Cleveland gets him with one of their first round picks.

Neither. We have greater pressing needs like O-lineman. I can't believe we are discussing this when we all agree that the O-line and the QB are the most pressing needs. You can't do much of anything with a poor O-line and a crappy QB or haven't some you watched anything the past five years.

You are correct, we do have "other" pressing needs, WR is not one of them. Without a good oline to give our QB time to throw, drafting a WR serves no purpose, without actually having a QB, drafting a WR serves no purpose.

I'm not so sure Cooper is all that anyway, yes he is a great college WR doesn't always translate to the NFl, and at 6'1" he's not really that big, we need that 6'4"-6'5" or bigger stud WR , oh I don't know, like maybe a Megatron type? I don't know maybe Cooper plays bigger than he is, maybe like Dez Bryant? But that doesn't matter, we don't need to take a WR with first pick, did I say, that serves no purpose yet:)

Hard to trade Pettis retro, he is no longer a member of the Rams. Bringing Britt back and then snag a WR in the middle rounds (this draft is LOADED with solid guys in the middle rounds.. Aghelor, Lockett, Lippett, Diggs, Montgomery, Perriman, the cat from Florida St whose name escapes me right now) and drop Givens. Go into 2015 with Quick,Britt,Austin,Bailey and a rookie..... AND FIX THE OFFENSIVE LINE

Eh, Commish, the Rams signed Pettis a couple of weeks ago, right after the superbowl. He has returned unless they cut him again.

Sorry Retro, he did indeed sign with the San Diego (soon to be California based out of LA) Chargers. He is not one of us anymore.. He signed with them on January 9th.

Cooper does apparently have 1 elite measurable: he has 10 inch hands. White, Parker and DGB all have 9 inch(ish) hands. Usually if someone is lacking size in the NFL, they usually have something like that to separate themselves.

I've read a couple of reports where one of Coopers weaknesses is dropped passes, he dropped 13 over the past two years. So it doesn't matter how big his hands are, plus now he has to go against the best DBs in the NFl and a QB that can't get him the ball anyway, because we don't even know who are QB will be?

Again, picking one of these WR's with our first pick serves absolutely no purpose!

He also averaged 123.4 yards a game last year with an athlete QB throwing to him.
------------------
For context's sake, Harmon writes "Most of the drops I observed for Cooper appeared to take place on routine plays. Several occurred on screen passes over the middle, where Cooper would just let the ball get away from him."

-----------------

WR isnt a top need on the Rams but most of the Rams best 1st round draft picks in the past couple of decades have come when they drafted talent over need

That may be, but no thank you, we can have all the talent we want at WR, but if we have no QB, or oline to block for our QB, if we had one, than that renders a stud WR more or less useless! Plus as was stated, he drops the easy passes, he would probably start dropping a few more when he's being hit by NFL caliber DB's, or not?

Again Oline has been a need forever! Maybe that is the biggest reason we haven't been good forever!

Did I mention yet, that I think we should draft oline with a good number of our picks:)

i like both but we need neither.

The Oline needs to be built stronger and if a QB like Marriota is there, it's a no-brainer.

ill be surprised if the QB's don't go 1,2. teams that need a QB can't take a chance on passing on these guys.

It wouldnt surprise me either Coug. if so we need to take an OLineman or a beast LB. If he's not there maybe a good CB.

Improve the weak areas of the team. But don't reach for a guy. If u have to reach, see if another position u need has a beast available.

Yeah no one is really talking about that but they could go CB with Jenkins set to be FA in 16. Marcus Peters and Tra Waynes are studs and just look like Rams. LB is a bigger need I wish the draft was stronger at that Position maybe if they trade back a few spots. but someone will probably emerge.

No doubt we have to fix the Oline. Hopefully we can land a stud Center in FA and resign Barks that would make the 10th pick have some more options for us.
